Hard Luck Blues help
I just got to the reactor in Vault 34 and chose the option to free the trapped dwellers but can't find them in the vault or anything. Where do I find them?

Also, How are there still vault 34 dwellers alive in the vault? I thought the dwellers left to form the boomers like 70 years prior. I read the wiki and I might have missed something but I dont see how.

I would help but I haven't completed this quest...

As far as I know, for whatever reason, they never mention them to you as a result of any thing in this quest or in this vault, but you can happen upon them at the Aerotech Office Park. Takes them a couple of in-game days to get there I think. I believe the idea was choosing between two faceless entities instead of having dealings with a family of real people, so's to offer no favouritism either way. And there's a good chance the horrendous time constraint for the game's development had something to do with it. God knows it affected a lot of othe stuff.

They will be at the NCR refugee camp, the one near the sharecroppers farm.
And they were squatting in the section of the vault you could not access, beyond the cave-in.

Right, the place with all the water that you couldn't get to in the vault. Think it has a door that reads [INACCESSIBLE] on it.

And the NCR refugee camp talgaby's mentioned is the Aerotech Office Park. Same place.

And unrelated, this vault is one of my favourite things ever in a game.

I understand now. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on part of the quest or came across a bug.

Vault 34 is my favorite vault too. The unique ghoul you fight along with finding the pulse gun and the all american makes this a memorable place. This time though I never knew about the trapped vault dwellers though. Previous playthroughs I just thought Hard Luck Blues was a linear quest to help Morgan and the sharecropper farms. I wanted to see the alternate ending this time.

I love everything about this vault. So much mystery and tension and chaos. Trying to be a bit vague in case I were to spoil stuff for anyone. It is my favourite after all.

Em, on the bit about not knowing there's a family there, you do always get it said to you on the same terminal you use to complete the quest the other way, so I'm not sure I follow you.

Before i just chose the option to shut down the reactor. The previous time i played the quest I was basically speed running and didnt even talk to morgan before it I just went into the vault. I probably didnt see or pay attention to the other options. Its a little fuzzy its been like 3 years since i last visited the vault before this playthrough.

Ah fair enough. I remember the first time I did this, when I got there to finish the NCR quest, my blood went cold and I seriously deliberated on that choice for a bit. It was a hard decision for sure.

Whats going on? I shut down Reactor, but Morgans hasn't time to talk to me. Also farmers go escaping tge farm due to the lack of water. Did take 2 real time days to do the quest and final is frustrating
