Major Pip-Boy lag
I've seen lots of posts about Pip-Boy lag and my lag doesn't quite fit any of those descriptions. The lag I am experiencing is only in the Weapons and Apparel sections of my Pip-Boy. Its best described as mouse lag. Anytime that i place my mouse over any of the items, there is a major lag spike and the rectangle that normally highlights an item jumps all over the place, making it damn near impossible to select anything. I am using mods. I've tried quite a few solutions including removing all mods and even without mods, the lag persists. Its only on this one save file too. If any more information is needed, I will happily provide.

Have you dumped the old 4gb mod to upgrade to the 4gb "Patch" mod?

I dont have any issues there like yours but DO randomly crash at 15 - 30 min intervals again :(
I recently DL/Installed "Wyre Flash" and when i r clicked Bashed patch i inadvertantly checked all the boxes and created a bashed patch.
By checking all the boxes i f**ked something up causing this random crashing !!! Got rid of wyre flash, Deleted ini and config files in the documents. mygames, started new game ans STILL get the crashes now :(

I dont have a 4gb mod installed. As for your crashing at 15-30 minute intervals, it could be a problem with having too many mods/plugins installed at once.

DO you have a pip-boy mod?

It is one of the weapon mods. There is one that I think adds a bunch of highly-scripted FN FAL rifles and it can make the item list go crazy. But generally, it is some item mod.

for the sake of clarity, would you mind explaining what "FN FAL" means? knowing that migt make it easier for me to figure out which mod it is.

Also, I dont have any mods installed that add items to the game. Just cosmetic mods and one that makes ammo weightless in hardcore mode

FN FAL is a real-world military rifle.
At any rate… then the cause can be you carrying everything and the kitchen sink along. If your weightless ammo means you also conveniently have a hundred thousand round of it, then the game will lag, period.

Nope, I've tossed a good chunk of my stuff and i'm still getting the lag. Do you think that removing quest items might help?

The amount of stuff you have also means the amount of an item type. Having 10k bullets will lag.
Plus it still can be a mod, even if none adds any items.

I've fully uninstalled all my mods and it still lags. I'm basically combing through all my weapons removing them and seeing if it helps. Also I've dumped all the ammo from my inventory into a vendor i never use.

Oh yup, that fixed it. Thanks so much. Never will I stockpile metric tons of ammo again.
