Can someone explain to me the making of ammo?
For example, I want to make a .50MG but I can't because I need a primer for that, but I cant get a primer without breaking the same ammo, so how an earth am I supposed to get a positive ammo load??

Primers can be bought if you want to craft more ammo. Though breaking down bullets is mainly to craft different variations of the ammo or craft different kinds of ammo.
Don't know anyone that sells primers, and Im also stuck in the big empty right now so I've basically only got one choice for vendor.

Gun Runners sell all sorts of primers and ammo crafting materials in general, but since you're doing the OWB DLC you're out of luck.
Just buy what you need and break down ammo you already have if you want to make variations of it.
A lot of shops randomly store primers and case boxes, but they're not available in useful quantities. You're gonna have to break down other ammo if you want to make proper use of the system.
You can convert one ammo type into another, provided they use the same powder and primer type *and* you have the cases. I.e you can convert 9mm into .357.
You get cases (not for all ammo types though) by firing your gun, i.e firing a standard .357 has a 30% chance to net a case (more with the hand loader perk).

That's the basic procedure. As you noticed, with .50 cal you're out of luck.

In OWB, I shoot Lobotomites with (plentyful) .357 or .44 and whack scorpions with the proton. inversal axe, melee skill doesnt matter that much for this weapon, though having super slam helps alot. Hopefully you didn't make the mistake of going to OWB at level 40+
You can find ammo ingrediants under the misc heading of shops if they have some.

Enemies become stupidly tanky and powerful. I made that mistake on my first playthrough, and it really influenced how I saw and experiences the DLC at the time.
Seriously, if player cannot kill his enemy with 1-3 shot, this crafting almost useless imo. Too much things too get it work with benefits. But recycle the empty energy bullet is good tho.

Ammo reloading is useful tho. Stuff like 12ga magnum 4/0 is good.
Crafting can make you kill enemies in 1-3 shots as special ammo can be stupid powerful.

The Sink vendor can stock primer and gunpowder boxes, although it can be pretty random sometimes.
Cheers for all the help guys! Glad to know this game still has an awesome community.
