Fallout New Vegas should be considered as the best RPG of all time
As I finished my first playthrough, I was conserned that I never played a game like it before with so many choices and so much depth. I played games such as Witcher 3, Deus Ex, Dragon Age and Morrowind before, but New Vegas stands above all of them. It walks the fine line between old school and modern RPGs in a perfect way. The main and side quests are well designed and well written, with "Come Fly With Me" being the very best side quest in an RPG. I wish Obsidian makes another Fallout game.

Worthy contender for best modern RPG, but certainly not the best of all time.

I disagree.

Since I can't decide on just one of something, New Vegas is absolutely one of the best of all time. I've only been playing it for two weeks(give or take) and it's my crack ATM (next to StarCraft 2 and Elite Dangerous, my other commonly played games)

Patrolling the Commonwealth makes you wish for another Obsidian game

Too unstable, underdeveloped factions (specifically the Legion), horrible combat and ai, and most of its DLC is underwhelming. There are so many better choices for "best RPG."

I disagree. The factions were well developed. The AI is decent. It can be buggy at times though.

The Legion is nowhere near as developed as most other factions in NV. Hell, the devs even said that most Legion locations and villages were scrubbed from development due to constraints. Of course my statement could be interpreted as generalization, but when one of the biggest factions in the game seem as prevalent as the Great Khans, then there are some serious issues going on with faction development.

Maybe best console RPG. Best cRPG is likely one from Deus Ex 1, Planescape: Torment, Vampire: Bloodlines, or Ultima IV or VII.
