Mouse stops working in menus and Pip-Boys/Dialogue?
After fast-traveling, or after about 10 minutes of gameplay, my mouse stops working in menus and dialogue. It's getting difficult to play and I'm desperate for a solution. Thanks!

Temporarily fix is to click and leave at the quest menu. Permanent fix is to quit the game.

I'll try the first one later. Quitting and restarting the game after every fast travel will be mildly irritating though...

It's a one time thing. Quitting the game will fix it.

Are you sure? Because I've tried it and it only works temporarily.

Trust me. Just quit the game legit. Don't just shut down your computer. (Yet). After you quit the game, then, you can shut down your computer.

It does come back. I played several hundred hours with no problem, then it started this issue, and is almost unplayable. There are many old, long thread about this issue:steamsad:

And it is inconsistant as hell: 1 day constant problems, next day NO problems in 6 hours play, next day more problems, even worse that 1st day

I've done something with my mouse drivers, and I'll start an new game to see if it still does it. I'll update you if it does solve it or not.

You never need to quit and restart the game, getting into the Pipboy Quest menu, and moving the mouse cursor over a few lines will ALWAYS fix the problem, TEMPORARILY:steamsad:

And you can always get to the Pipboy: use cursor keys (UP/DOWN mostly) and ENTER to back out of whatever dialog/menu you are currently stuck in, then TAB for Pipboy

It is impossible now to fix this permanently, this is a Windows side issue and affect all versions from Win7 and up. Also, it can only come back after you fast travel. If you never fast travel, the mouse issue will never happen ever again.
