delete the file. game should create it with your graphics card info.

Remove the stuck read-only flag from the INI files in the same directory.

Open the game launcher, go to settings, and change anything. The resolution is the easiest to see. Save it, close the launcher, then re-open it and the settings. Did your changes carry over or did they revert to the previous state?

The changes carried over.

Then it is some external issue.
Most common and easiest to find are programs with overlays, since they kill the game. Usual suspects are Raptr, Overwolf, Nvidia Experience, but DisplayLink or similar multi-display managers also do this.

jaco the not so great, have you found a resolve to the problem? my renderinfo.txt file is also empty no matter how many times i delete it, and it is my suspicion that NvidiaExperience has something to do with fallout not loading because i could load the game with no problem until i downloaded NvidiaExperience, let me know if youve found a resolution to your problem man, thanks
