For females, you have more options, but the ones that generally tend to work are the Type3 and the Type6 replacers. I do not recall makeup on any of them. I only recall makeup only on the Desert Succubus race mod.
Te body type thins is still strange as most of them require another sub mod or additional mods (like armor mods as well) and then it get's messy because nexusmod links in the descriptions often don't even work or link corrently anymore.

As for ghouls i have no idea, i guess the above mods change the non-feral ones a bit too. For the creatures you can find Hi-res textures or retexture of your taste.
A lot of the body mod stuff does focus on glamour which is why you keep seeing what you're seeing. Retexturing vanilla bodies has mostly worked better for me, with fewer steps and more compatibility. Just wish I could use that Spice of Life mod.
Well i just know there was better body stuff on morrorwind, it kinda made evertyhing look really good.I am also fine with how Skyrim looks vanilla.
FO:NV is also a bit olde,r and some better quality textures would be fine. (it doesn't necessarily have to change the bodies) So better textures ould be sufficiently fine.
does the second mod require any armor mods as well? the description leaves a a bit uncertain
so does the mod work "standalone" or will the armors look glitchy and buggy then?
I also have an eye on a few high res armor mods etc. But first I need better bodies )or just textures) I gues sbecause when thsi requires adjusted armor mods it seems pointless to use a high res mod for the regular armor. Or am I wrong?

It ultimately comes down to compatibility and the work to install. So make sure that the body replacer you use is compatible with everything else you want to use and it should be fine. And there's a couple of things that require them. Far more stuff works with vanilla, though many modders will go to the trouble of making different versions for different bodies, which frankly is above and beyond and that's why I love communities like this one and Skyrim's (though I haven't played Skyrim on PC yet; just going by reputation and number of mods).
Edit: Also, I didn't mention in there but Mikoto Beauty improves some of the presets quite a bit. It is a bit glitchy and maybe not worth it, but I tried uninstalling it and realised it was better for me to work with its bugs. I'm considering editing it to make it have less of an impact on stuff I don't need it to impact, but I'm not sure I will. Couldn't release it without permission anyway, and I get the feeling the mod author isn't around much now.
Just don't use stationnary guards later on, they are know to make the game instable. ;)
