Well, you can always trade in NCR money for chips at a casino and then turn those into bottle caps. Same thing with legion Denarus, which have pretty good exchange rates.

No faction is more profitable than the 'Wildcard' faction.

In all the others you end up serving another master in exchange for some paltry loot - which you've got to go cut out of your enemy's cold, dead, hands yourself anyway. In Wildcard you gain the whole city.

Not only the city, but with the securitrons (if you chose to activate the fort ones) you can run almost all of the mojave.

I'm pretty sure your Barter skill has a greater effect on how much money you can make siding with a given faction, than which one you choose to side with. Pissing off the Legion cuts you off from one merchant, but it's just one merchant, and he's not even particularly rich. Pissing off the NCR, on the other hand, cuts you off from a fairly wealthy arms dealer at Camp McCarran.
Caravan merchants, including Crimson Caravan, don't care who you side with if I remember right.

As for quest rewards... I dunno, I recall the Boomers give you decent-sized cash rewards for doing stuff for them. That said, I'm also pretty sure most monetary quest rewards scale with level.

Because out of all of the factions he is the only one willing to spend a fortune to reward you to get what he wants.

Ncr will give you a radio to call reinforcement. But still a bunch of meat bait since there's only normal troopers to call...but there's a mod to let you choose to call heavy troopers or even veteran rangers too. That's make the radio became a magic item imo. Their safe house can use as a player home in the middle of the map.

Caesar will bless you with supplies in a period of time. Ammo, food etc. Pretty useful in hardcore play mode. His safe house can use as a base camp to hunt some ghouls nearby.

The king. Will send you an item, food or caps every single time you enter the freeside via the gate from mojave...nit that much but also good to see friendly face around tho.

BOS will prepare energy ammo for you at the stairs in the bunker. And also the key of their safe house... surrounded by cazadors, deathclaws and night stalkers lol

If moded, i prefer ncr radio to call the badasses veteran rangers. If not, i thinks caesar is pretty good tho.

The ganger's dynamite ? A noop trap for ya tho. They surrounded by a bunch of hostile people like ncr citizens, goodsprings and even caesar still hate them...if the game let you help them conquer the other towns and turn into a big up coming mafia for vegas, it would be worth to side with. Joe cob is suck but his leader look pretty smart tho.

Legion. Caesar's Stash is unlocked with high enough favour, and depending on game RNG (not affected by Luck stat), you may end up with 10-50k caps worth of stuff every 3 in-game days. If you use energy weapons, you can get essentially infinite ammo in 2 weeks if you are lucky. There isn't a single better money farming method in FONV, except for usignt he console to cheat yourself rich.

Yeah forgot about this. Caesar's legion is also profitable when you get positive favor from them. All those denar.

Most profitable faction is definately the brave and wealthy people of Primm. They have many riches including caps, a casino and a brilliant hotel. The law enforcement is also amazing as shown by Deputy Beagle's ability to fend of any attackers the town ever sees. This ensures that the wealth of the glorious empire of Primm is always protected.
