MTUI and oHUD
At any decent resolution, menu lists, inventory screens etc have rediculously few line items visible and giant fonts. I think MTUI fixes this but I like oHUD which seems to modify the same files ( which makes sense ). Before I spend time fighting with the mods trying to get them to work together, has anyone succeeded ? Scrolling through lists isn't really much fun.

Never personally tried out MTUI, but from what I can tell, no patch exists it play nice with One HUD.

If I may suggest something else: use Vanilla UI Plus instead. It's very similar, comes with a patch for One HUD compatibility, and is still actively supported by its author.

By the way, isn't UIO supposed to fix the MTUI/oHUD issue?

And finally, you can also just use Darnified UI for New Vegas.

UIO can only do additions to the user interface - that is injecting stuff into what's already there. This covers something like 99% of UI mods. The rest are what I think of as "base" UI mods. These are the ones that modify existing XML code, which UIO generally is not equipped to do. These are mods like DarNified, MTUI, VUI+, and perhaps surprisingly, One HUD. They require manual patching to work with one another if they modify the same files. It's why One HUD still has a patch for DarNified, despite requiring UIO.

However, I went and did a comparison between the hud_main_menu.xml from MTUI and the one from vanilla and they're almost identical - only three font edits and that's it. What this means is that it should be completely safe to overwrite MTUI when installing One HUD. You'd only miss out on said font edits, which only affect the heads up display. Actually just the XP and the rad meters, which are hidden away 99% of the time anyways. Turns out that this issue is really not an issue at all. Unless you really, really care about those font edits, in which case a patch could be produced in 10 seconds.

That said, I still very much recommend VUI+.
