MCM Not working!!!
I have looked and cant find my specific problem on anywhere. I will admit i obtained mine through torrents because i dont have money and didnt wanna make the same mistake i made with Fallout 3, cause it no longer plays at all. All my other mods work but when i go to use MCM i get the same error message."The mod configuration menu had detected an unexpected version of menu files. you will need to reinstall MCM, overwriting any existing files."

*Update*
I installed Project Nevada for fun and it suddenly worked but only with that one. i tried installing a flashlight but the install looks for MCM and it tells me i have an outdated one or something.

Admitting to acquiring a game through torrent on the Steam forums can get you a community ban. Just saying. Luckily we haven't seen an actual moderator around here in like 20 months.

At any rate, this is a common issue if you install project Nevada after MCM. You need to scrape off both, install PN first, then MCM overwriting it.

Also, use the UIO mod to hold all user interface related mods together.

The fact you clearly pirated the game is just sad, and it's even more sad when you don't even put your profile on private so you can hide the fact you don't have the game on steam.

Don't ask for help on the game in steam discussions if you don't have it on steam.

Who really cares about piracy. I pirated my game because the version I have on Steam is the German version, which has no blood and German voice and text.

It's fine to pirate only if your country restricts the bought version.
-So don't quote me about you pirating.

Again, who cares. I don't like Bethesda and I'd rather not give my money to them, who ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cares about piracy, pirates will pirate no matter what.
I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate Steam as well, I'd rather not have all of my games I bought tied to a service that can close at any moment or revoke my keys without explaining why. I don't OWN my games on Steam, I merely loan them and Valve can take that away from me at any moment. Not to mention them taking a 30% cut and having no quality assurance what so ever, allowing any ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game maker or RPG maker game to get on here.

First of all it was "Published by Bethesda" New vegas was made by Obsidian, you'd be helping Obsidian giving most of the money to them.

Second of all steam has been up for all this time with many users and I highly doubt steam will ever be shut down unless most of the userbase has left.

And if the quality is not of your liking, if you haven't played the game for more than 2 hrs then you are able to refund it.

You can keep on pirating games, I hope you get some sort of virus that rapes your computer.
The Steam community doesn't have the most intelligent people in the "community" but there is nothing wrong with how Steam runs their store. It's your fault that you're so retardedly insecure. That you have to drive away from steam.

Now, I never said I was against piracy. And I was meaning to say the "Hope you get a virus that rapes your computer" specifically only toward you as you are completely against Steam and clearly don't know that those (Game Makers/RPG Maker) garbage that you apparently can see (which I can't) on the steam store had to have been greenlit (by the community) or been some big title.

"I am aware of that.

Getting a virus with piracy is almost impossible unless you are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cuckold who buys AAA annual releases and sucks corporate ♥♥♥♥ all day long, which you are." (Can't quote)

^Getting a virus with piracy is almost impossible, is a complete lie(or just very uneducated) If you been on the internet zooming through websites and fourms there is always that one ad to the side saying something stupid like:

"Get Garry's Mod for free!"

"Minecraft for free, download now"
(And I have came across these clearly suspicous ads surfing the web and even one of my friends clicked on a Gmod Ad and got his computer turned into a toaster)

And people (Most likely degen-erate 8 year olds) will click on these ads in a heart beat, most likely helping the killing of their computer.

Unless you're using the right websites and know exactly what you are doing when pirating, you're going to have the least chance of viruses, for you getting a virus is almost impossible but for the (Less intelligent) person, they'll get viruses from clicking the first links they see.
--------------------
And I don't "worship" these big AAA Publishers and Corporates and certainly i'm not going to get a virus from DOWNLOADING from steam.

As I said, if you aren't a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥, which you are, it's impossible to get a virus from piracy. Don't click on ♥♥♥♥ like that and instead pirate like a pirate does, by using a torrent client, a reputable tracker and good release groups like Codex, CPY, Skid-row, Razor1911 and WALMART. If you do that, your chances of getting a virus are null.

Is that all you can say? Overusing all this unneeded vulgar language and assuming i'm a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ when it comes to piracy? I know what looks fishy and suspicous on my computer.
And you don't need to tell me all these good websites for pirating in the first place, i'm not a degenerate that doesn't know the best way to pirate...

Oh Batnerd, just to inform you, there are websites such as Nexusmods that even offer an installer for Fallout NV, and the mods themselves for free. I recommend using it instead of torrents.

if you are using Vortex and you have installed both MCM and Project Nevada you have to go run Vortex find MCM in the mod list , Right-click , click Manage File conficts and change everything to MCM . The default is PN . That's how i fixed it
