PC because it has the in-game console. Plus mods.

I prefer the PC version mostly because using joysticks to control a First-Person Perspective is excruciatingly tedious.

I don't mind kicking back with a controller every now and then, but hell, I wouldn't use a joystick to navigate a web browser, why would I use one to shoot a virtual gun.

Lockpicking is also so much easier with a mouse. PCs are just better for precision.

PC has:

better controls (mouse aim, you could make an argument about joysticks for moving)

console commands

mod support

reasonably active community? (being here, console may as well, but this is directly attached to the game)

Consoles have:

easier to get running

less bugs?

trying to be impartial, i honestly cant think of any other benifits for consoles. for me, the capability for mods, console commands, and mouse look is what makes the PC version the better option.

Both console versions have more bugs, actually, although the X360 one is still better than the PS3 one.

PC would also have less bugs because bug fixing mods as well as being able to fix them while in game with the console commands.

I played the 360 version after the PC 100% both of them and my opinions are:

Graphics: PC
Mods: PC
Difficulty/Challenge: PC (...and yes, I am serious about this, 360 version seems easier)

The 360 version plays more like an arcade style game where you essentially have all the PC (DLC and story plus weapons --Ultimate version) stuff, managed graphics as well as dedictaed controller support; the PC version can be modded, has a command line (as stated above) and may also be ramped up graphically to a level the 360 could not entertain. The 360 version is still very FO and fun, but not the PC equivalent I've grown accustom to. If you can only have or will only get one or the other then the PC version is the one you want.

Take care.

You must be joking. I played it on Xbox aswell back in the day, horrible graphics and super long loading times.

PC has everything

+60 fps
controller support
+1080P resolutions
MODS

yeah - 360 FO3 is far worse than NV for load times, but nether are fun -- good time to read a book though.

How about those Skyrim load times on the 360 - lmao.

have to agree with Caelistas on this note --load times are sh!t; being blunt about it.

I've played this game on pc and console, i like the pc version better, load times are so much faster, mods, console commands all make the game better. However i do usually plug in a wired usb xb360 controller because i find it easier than using a mouse and keyboard. So playing on a pc is ideal for me bc loading times are fast, i can cheat, mod, and use a controller but i do have to unplug my controller for console commands but its not a big deal since i rarely do since it disables achievements

Honestly, I prefer a game controller with NV while for some reason like a keyboard and mouse with FO3; oddly, it came to my knowledge that I am far from being alone concerning this. I don't really care for game controllers too much after having to use a mouse and keyboard due to a controller wearing out, but NV just feels as though that was the way it was meant to be played.

You know what Fallout needs -prone position for sniper rifle stability and general sneaky stuff.

Take care.

PC - because thanks to console peasants, this game had to be toned down to a level which they could run it at. ♥♥♥♥ consoles.

Before I moved FO3 helped me stay fit. Pushups during load sequences. Thank god for VATS because all those pushups means you aren't going to aim...
I've been playing the PS3 version on RPCS3 just to see what's different, and I really can't find much. The only thing I noticed was that in the The Tops, there's this like, divider between the front desk and the actual casino. It's hard to explain, but you'll see it if you actually play it on the PS3.
