The second thing you could do is to play the command tape, the same thing you did to free him of his cell when you first found him.
Best way to do, is close a valve -quicksave-close a valve-quicksave.....
p.s- is this happening to you? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yyoMrzq8FE
I have never let Dog out after the first time switching him, so I'm not sure how that would play out. If you have not switched him to God prior to this, you might be able to switch him before the automatic dialog begins.
But all else being equal, I never have needed a stealth boy. It's just a matter of timing - doing the first 2, then saving the one in the storage area for when God/Dog goes into the kitchen. After that it's a matter of passing a speech check, which is easily dealt with, just nab some wine or whiskey and don the sexy sleepwear.
there is a way of getting all gold, without using console commands xd. At first i wanted to do it, but it would destroy the game immersion, you would have all the money you want, and it wouldn't be fun anymore.
I got away with 5 gold bars, how many did you? xd
Are you talking about sneaking up and dropping the gold near the forcefield? I tried that way once, but it didn't work for me, so I just decided to just "let go". Yeah, that one god mode incident taught me that it's not really worth it to try to get it all, as I never really needed to sell it anyway - the loot I brought back from the Sierra Madre was always enough to make me wealthier than God.
My last playthrough I managed to get six. I had to dump most everything before even entering the vault.
there is a video on youtube, of a guy managing to do it, trough the forcefield tatic, and he does it legit. I had to dump everything to, only left with the unique weapon you receive when you enter the dlc xd.
btw, do you know if lockers on lonesome road, are safe? Cause i have like 2000 total ammo for energy weapons, and i want to save half in lockers. but i dont want them to dissapear.
The ones in the Hopeville Men's barracks are... I always use that a a home base where I stash or dump everything I'm not using. I use the locker next to the WC to store my armor, and the ammunition box behind the sandbags for ammo & weapons. Also the desk, where I usually put stuff like Wonderglue. I'm pretty sure the rest of the storage in that house are safe as well, although I haven't used them as much.
I did see that video you refer to, but like I say, it did not work for me and I couldn't be arsed to try again. By the time I get to that point I'm always just ready to get the hell out of the Sierra Madre. I do get the point of trying to get it all, though. It's a challenge that everyone's got to try at least once - like Mount Everest: "because it's there."
thanks man, the loot in lonesome road is worth a lot of caps.
I wanted to try too, maybe later xd
But to be honest my first feeling was pure greed, all that gold...
But really, you don't even need any gold bars to get more caps than you'll ever spend. It's just nice to have them though. The free vouchers that accumulate after you complete it are worth far more than the gold bars.
I usually use the Hopeville Armory as a base during LR. But, the men's/women's barracks are safe too. I believe all the containers up in the Crow's nest are safe as well.
