How do I access DLC?

I bought the special edition of this with the dlc included for 15 quid, do i need to activate the dlc, or is it already included from the start?

No activation needed. You'll know it's loaded if you get a bunch of new quests and radio signals after finishing character creation.

I checked your games list and no, it appears that you don't have them. Not all the DLC are listed there, but at least Courier's Stash, Dead Money and Honest Hearts should be visible, like on my profile.

Where did you buy the game?

I'm betting it's because you never bought the Ultimate Edition. A lot of people get confused about that because the store page is misleading. Especially if they bought the game back in the day and never played it, only to come back and see the store page claim that they own the Ultimate Edition.

Check your licenses: https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/
If there is no "Ultimate" next to "Fallout New Vegas", you do not own the Ultimate Edition.

It is cheaper to buy the Ultimate Edition than buying all DLCs together. It goes on a sale frequently; right now it is on a 50% sale on GamesPlanet.

Yeah, Bethesda got their ears rung for the whole DLC activation thing with Fallout 3. Once again, the Pip-boy Radio has it all going on.

Spoiler: you can't use any weapons or gear you take to Dead Money --you will get your stuff back though and may be encumbered after finishing the DLC if you come out with a bunch of new stuff...
