Something to keep in mind though, is that bethesda/obsidian are well aware that the gamebryo engine doesn't support any of the features that other console shooters make extensive use of to make them palatable with a thumbstick.
So, they flipped the system on its head and made your bullets go towards the enemy instead moving the crosshair to the enemy. It's more noticable in Fallout 3 since every single bullet had a tracer, but it's the same way in New Vegas. If your crosshair turns red, you're probably going to hit the enemy.
lol
everything works great but the whole aiming part. its either rough and slow or too fast and not smooth.
there no balance here lol
at least they fix it with fallout 4 lol
man this sucks though..
I use a controller too (sue me) and its pretty smooth for me. Of course the mouse is much faster, but the controller isn't "bad", but Ive always played the modern Fallouts with controllers and originally had them before on console before I evolved.
What about your FPS? Im at a solid 60 with 144 refresh rate and G-sync, but even without all of that, the controller used to feel just fine at 60 FPS 60hz and regular V-sync.
mine around idk 26 to 45...
fallout 3 its around 25 to 35. it dips sometimes when out exporling when alot of things are going on..
maybe the controller be a bit smoother if it was at a perfect fps but who knows..
to me just feels... idk not tight. like the grip isnt right.
Oh damn dude. No wonder it doesnt feel smooth. If there are a ton of explosions (usually from cars) that go off, my FPS drops to 45 and that doesnt tend to feel smooth to me. I cant imagine playing at anything lower.
Just to experiment, you can try lowering your graphics to the absolute minimum (to increase your FPS), and go into combat. It will look like crap, but your FPS will probably increase, close to 60 hopefully. And you can see what I mean.
but overall mouse and keybroard plays smooth..
most the time though i get around 32 to up to 45.
just dips a bit from when all that stuff happens.
but i think that might help a tiny bit.. better then anything else i can do to fix it lol
