One Shot...2

More interesting than part 1. Originally put it off due to feeling absolutely decimated after a COVID shot. Somehow originally I was trying to execute a cube swap in part 1, which naturally didn't really help. Obviously that made me a bit more prepared for part 2. (None of your workshop maps beat Dilapidation 4 so far, and I only have the advanced Two of a Kind left. Dilapidation 4's final overarching puzzle is a big high mark, though, so this is being a bit unfair.)

Very nice anti-gravity room, were you inspired by Portal Prelude's level 10?

mabye you can do a ratman lair in this?

One shot has other logic when crossing shields. It was nice to play!

The test is meaningless. Life is meaningless. Does that mean the test is life?
ianbrobin 30 marca 2016 o 18:34
Wow. I think that this puzzle and Dilapidation 1 may be my two favorite puzzles. You definetly make the most challenging puzzles.
Petutski 26 maja 2015 o 11:27
Excellent exercise in defining the logic rules and then executing... Thanks!
quat 25 kwietnia 2015 o 14:31
Fun ! There was a small error in the beginning where I got the dual portal device (probs due to the sp_ prefix? idk). Falling in the goo and restarting the map fixed it though
Dexter 30 grudnia 2014 o 16:35
I think its broken. I see the orange portal is done for me before I exit the spawn room but it still clears when going through any fizzlers. No buttons to reset either :(
Chelliste 26 listopada 2014 o 20:15
I found this easier than One Shot 1 because I didn't need an exploit! The tiny little room behind the fizzler at the end puzzled me. Was it an escape hatch in case you got trapped?
LoneWolf2056  [autor] 4 października 2014 o 18:08
@Gabi113 Thanks, glad you enjoyed xD And yes Dilapidation Part 4 ended up being crazy hard because I originally made a mistake in the puzzle :p Unfortunately I have had to stop working on my Reconstruction series because of working on Portal Stories: Mel at the moment.
CLQ 4 października 2014 o 8:53
awesome maps you have man!
After completing all you Dilapidation series I have to say that you might be a genius or something :)
At least that's how you make me feel after completing the series (especially the 4th)
Aweseome !!!
Please more and more advanced tricky smart puzzly maps !!!
No ninja stuff :D
Good job !
not-paradiser 2 października 2014 o 1:56
fantastic !!!

In the last part I felt like I was juggling with the cubes haha. This map was really fun althoguh it took me a while to realize what I had to do.
TS_Mind_Swept 24 lipca 2014 o 14:26
well i am a doochie, i thought of "Sacrificing cubes" but i couldn't get how to do it right, but thanks to LAChip's comment on page 3, I got what i was supposed to do. (I know that's cheating, but i did the rest of it just fine) The first part was kind of easy, but it was the 2nd near the end that i had trouble. Loved that anti-grav room though, that was awesome! Maybe include as part of a future test? and i fould out that you can jump off cubes in mid air, so maybe include doing that in to too? 8/10

I found this monoportal map harder. Sacrificing cubes helps.

SERIOUSLY!?!?! YOU AND LP ?! THAT'S GONNA BE AWESOME!!!

I'm tracking this mod for a long time but I didn't know you're one of the people maling it.
LoneWolf2056  [autor] 17 października 2013 o 11:01
@| \_/ () thank you :) I am working on Portal Stories with Lpfreaky90 and a few others, check it out on Moddb . May possibly make another one shot map in the future :p
| \_/ () 16 października 2013 o 6:34
you're one of the best puzzlers along with LPfreaky90 and Mevious! it's a pleasure to play your maps. and...yeah, make part 3 :)
Bayram 6 października 2013 o 8:32
Thumbs up, maybe medium/easy, but like several other commentors, I would have prefered the first cube in the second puzzle to have been, say, a companion cube, so that I could keep straight which is which.
Dave 26 sierpnia 2013 o 10:38
another well done level by LoneWolf :) gj gj :) cannot say anything bad to it :)
MachManX 22 sierpnia 2013 o 21:44
Nice. At the beginning I thought this was gonna be boring. But once I got to the later part, it got tricky. Fun chamber, thanks!
GWD9000 10 sierpnia 2013 o 19:49
Pretty good single portal map, but still would have liked to have 2 different cube types to make the process more trackable - I must have fizzled the wrong cube 4 or 5 times! How very annoying! All fun though. Favourited. Thanks for making it
kimist108 4 sierpnia 2013 o 16:44
Had fun spending time with this test chamber. Appreciate time taken to make these for the rest of us.
Slordar 17 czerwca 2013 o 13:05
please make part three
Slordar 15 czerwca 2013 o 20:46
Ok that is the best single portal gun map I have ever seen
Shadow of Avalar 5 maja 2013 o 15:06
very good, would have been a bit easer if cube at the end was a companion or fraken cube, I got the two normal cubes backwards and had to do it over again lol....
LoneWolf2056  [autor] 22 kwietnia 2013 o 4:03
@piotr_mil Thanks, that room is just for a bit of fun, altered gravity puzzles tend to not be as good as you might think, but I may try if I have an idea I think is fun enough.
piotr_mil 21 kwietnia 2013 o 19:44
A cool, short, but entertaining map with a typical cube swap puzzle :) Oh, and there as this little thing, lower gravity room. WAIT WHAT. . Are you planning to do something with it ;)?
mood3rd 28 marca 2013 o 13:21
LoneWolf2056
thankyou for your reply.
& I see now, it stops the player getting trapped.
due to the fizzler only deactivating the 1 portal :)
LoneWolf2056  [autor] 28 marca 2013 o 8:35
Yea that portalable area is so you dont get stuck over there, not part of the solution.
mood3rd 28 marca 2013 o 8:30
good map.
the portable area with the fizzler near the exit,
baffled me ?
but swap & respawn, saved me :)

please try a map from my workshop:

Great map! Cheers! Your maps require the perfect amount of brain power, nice challenge but no headache!
Innocentive 7 marca 2013 o 10:30
Absolutely meaningless? I don't think so! ;D
Nice antigrav room btw...
LPChip 18 lutego 2013 o 9:09
Awesome map. Took me quite a bit to figure the last bit out, but finally did it!

@Meekers.pol: Make sure the lasercube is in the room with the other laser that is deactivated. Activate it, and point it to the catcher through the glass. Shoot a portal on the wall. Get the lightbridge to go across the goo. Grab the cube and exchange it with the other cube. Bring the other cube to the exit door and then use the pedestal button to respawn the exchanged cube.
secretivepol 9 lutego 2013 o 5:40
How do you get past the last room? I can't figure it out :(
1980 7 lutego 2013 o 3:42
Absolutely great map. This should be played much more and get a high score.
RedneckTexan 13 stycznia 2013 o 8:18
Very Cool
The Sojourner 2 listopada 2012 o 22:22
This test is wonderful. It's also sorely underrated.

My only complaint is really a glitch report: I found at some point that somehow I was shooting orange portals with the blue one being rooted.
LoneWolf2056  [autor] 23 października 2012 o 14:05
If you picked up the 2nd cube and used it to power the light bridge then respawned the 2nd cube you would be stuck with no light bridge to get back. Pretty obscure but I have to cover all possible ways of getting yourself stuck.
n/a 22 października 2012 o 17:37
@LoneWolf2056 Good idea, cept I don't know how you could get trapped there...
LoneWolf2056  [autor] 21 października 2012 o 6:33
Yea the white wall at the end is purely for if you trap yourself so you can always get back, thats why I put it in the corner and didnt light it up or draw attention to it. :p
DarkWhite 21 października 2012 o 2:17
But the first time i had a problem with a portal gun. :S
DarkWhite 21 października 2012 o 2:16
The ending was very tricky. Its a very good map! :D
n/a 20 października 2012 o 22:39
Hey, you know you can solve it without using that last white wall at the end?
Alien_Jim 20 października 2012 o 15:13
Nicely done. I can tell lots of thought went into creating it.
J. Jungle Japeson 20 października 2012 o 7:31
It was very tricky but I loved the 0 gravity room! I destroyed all of the cubes!
Walter Blanco 20 października 2012 o 6:53
This was very tricky and an easy, awesome looking design. 5/5!
