Note: If by some chance you have any missing exterior wall pieces this is a creation kit bug due to be fixed by bethesda in the future. Fast travelling fixes the issue temporarily! The greyface bug will also be fixed by bethesda in due time, and if you do have a issue you belive isn't due to a CK bug, let me know! Thank you =)

Designed as a large player-owned castle that fits into Skyrim and its lore, Greystone comes with all the services and features you need!



==== FEATURES ====

> Original exterior and interior design with exceptional attention to detail!

> All the crafting stations you will need with dedicated rooms and areas.

> Castle includes 17 NPC's such as bard, companions, guards, servant's & merchants.

> Storage and display areas including weapon racks, mannequins and display cases. The wardrobe safe has a 'hidden button' to open it. Look on the pillar to the left!

> The location is ready to fast travel to (see pictures above). Look North-East of Ivarstead on the map (after subscribing, please fast travel there). Also, this castle will not interfere with Riftborg- my other mod.

> Read the welcome note to find out where the secret button and doors are! Its basically a glorified instruction manual, or find them yourself if you like the challenge!

>Q. A WALL/TOWER/ROCK IS NOT SHOWING..
A. The creation kit has a known bug that sometimes fails to load large statics. Simply fast travel back and forth a few times (to another location pref a few cells away- the nearest minor town works) as it is the best remedy for this until Bethesda provide a fix. This castle may be affected more than others because this castle doesn't use a pre-built house model. I design the exterior from scratch and make it the shape I want, so it involves many more pieces!

>Q. STORED POSSESSIONS ARE MISSING..
A. Most of the time this is due to authors updating their mods, house mods especially, and as this description mentions several times, backup those data files and save games to avoid the headache! Delete the lastest data file and restore your backup of the previous version to revert to a last known good configuration.

>Q. SPOUSE OR NPC WILL NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY OR DISAPPEARS..
A. Scripting the spouse to move in is a little harder than you think. Hence why almost no house mods have it. Try this mod by 'Amgepo & Emma' that allows your spouse to live anywhere; http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11370

In regards to NPC's not functioning properly: Quote from the creation kit webpage "There is currently an issue causing navmeshes in .ESPs to stop working if you travel a few cells away from where they are placed. NPCs stop moving and will not resume until the game is restarted. This issue is being addressed, and a fix is in the works."

>Q. MANNEQUINS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY..
A. This is another Creation kit bug. If they are walking or not displaying armour try fast travelling or save game re-load. If they are not in the right spot, go to where the trigger is (where they should be) and equip them with armour. 9/10 times they will appear back in the right spot!

>Q. MY NPC HAS A GREY FACE..
A. Another creation kit bug. A permanent fix by Bethesda will eventually happen I hope. This bug affects all new NPC's created and even copied versions of exsisting NPC's. And yes, I am aware of the crtl+F4 method (export face gen data method) in the CK, for me it works, on upload to the workshop however, it seems to not apply to everyone else.

>Q. MY GAME CRASHES TO DESKTOP (CTD)..
A. This can be from many things. Load order, conflicting mods or corrupt save/data files are common causes. Unfortunately there is not much I can do as the mod is fine, just some incompatibility has arisen. Until then try using a clean save or sort the mod in a higher load order.

>Please try these general troubleshooting tips for any difficulties;

-- Reload your save game or load a different save game.
-- Fast travel to another location then come back to the problem area.
-- Exit Skyrim then restart it again.
-- Disable all mods via Skyrim (un-check the boxes) then enable them all again. Load orders can be issues as well.
-- Use your backup of the plugin data file as described in the first question above.

This mod is probably the very best player home/castle I've seen anywhere. I have a couple of player home mods and another player castle which I thought were the best, but I found myself trying to improve so much about them that was missing, in my view, for the Dragonborn. I found this mod, and walked all through it thinking, "Yep, this is exactly what I was trying to do myself." It has everything I believe the Dragonborn should have by the time you're well advanced in quests and the main quest-line. Perfectly created and stocked exactly as it should be. An excellent piece of work.

ITS A GREAT CASTLE BUT DON'T DO WHAT I DID BECAUSE I HAVE GREYSTONE AND SHATTERHORN CASTLE COMBINED LIKE SOME MESSED UP MASON DESIGN!

This castle is more than impressive! It`s pure perfection! I only wish, you could adopt children and let them live in your castle...

Crim5on Duck - I have placed the mod files at zauriel.net , along with a README and a few screenshots. This is the first time I have packaged a mod for release so I hope I have done it correctly. Please let me know if you have any problems with the files or would prefer I post them in a different location or format. With your permission I will publish the mod to Steam and/or Nexus. I don't know anything about Skyrim SE, but I am open to learning if you think it is worthwhile. Thanks again for responding, and for your consideration.

zauriel - I would love to see your expansion of this incredible castle. Like I said earlier, it is my most favorite place to live.
