It's Terraria in space. That is okay.

Starbound feels a lot more accessible than Terraria. Mainly because there's a story and you have a general idea of what to do rather than pulling you out of the experience to check the wiki every five minutes. However, it doesn't necessarily hold your hand. You will wander around, but that just leads to you finding cool things and collecting cool stuff.
