Yes, I know that the launch in 2016 was disastrous and that they didn't deliver what they promised, but the persistence that Hello Games had in this ambitious project is something that is rare to see in game development companies nowadays, they released large free updates that refactored many of the game mechanics, today No Man's Sky is an incredible game with an impressive procedural algorithm (in my opinion).
