Parts of this game, particularly the most interesting ones, are simply unplayable. Frame rate drops, freezes, and glitches means that half the boss battles have enemies moving 2-3x faster than players can react. Unblockable attacks are delivered before the processor can color the enemy to warn the player. I'm enjoying the story so far but the construction is sheer manure.

The passage of time has done next to nothing to diminish the fun and value of this classic game. It can glitch and freeze, but reboots easily. The story and game play are as good as ever.

There is a LOT more exploring than combat in this game, and buyers should adjust their expectations accordingly, but the cast, acting, story, and plot are all fresh and enjoyable. The graphics are great. Combat gets a bit repetitive, but overall a very fun game. Worth the time and investment.

Twenty years after its initial release, Final Fantasy X still stands as one of my favorite games of all time. The linear story has enough side quests to make the gaming world seem open and free. The character advancement is so flexible that no two plays are quite the same. The characters and story are engaging, the music is enjoyable, and the overall story is a bittersweet treat that mixes love, loss, hope, and adventure quite well.

This is the best-ever adaptation of the old turn-based tabletop game that became a novel and video-game sensation across multiple continents. There are some rules tweaks and restrictions that make it a better game. The fresh story and artwork is excellent and game play is challenging and enjoyable.

I liked the updates from the 2010 version. I continued to enjoy the game for four duels.
On the fifth duel it was revealed that all the AI players receive the same cards every game.
I struggled with a green deck, and quickly realized that the AI drew and played the same card each time.
Even with the maximum number of cards in the deck, it is statistically impossible that a randomized deck would deal the same hands in the same sequence ten times in a row.
