Democracy

This game on its own is very average, getting let down a lot by its terrible controls and confusing mechanics

however this game as a sequel is god awful, its still got the parkour but they have changed the parkour mechanics for seemingly no reason, it makes it feel a lot less intuitive to use and harder to control. This game has a much bigger map compared to the first game but the map feels a lot more empty after you play it for a little bit, you have like 5 different kinds of containers and all of them feel like they have the same loot (none of the loot being interesting, its all just crafting bits and stuff you will only use when crafting or trading), so we got a bigger map but it feels like there is less in it and most of the stuff in it feels like its procedurally generated and a lot less unique/special, a nit pick thats more my personal preference is that the new layout of the map makes parkour a lot harder to do fluently, a lot of the paths are either very hard to follow or just abruptly end...

overall i would give it a 5/10, only pick it up during a good sale

better than civ 6

Honestly amazing game for anyone with a programming mindset or anyone that enjoys problem/puzzle solving. couldnt recommend it more

Easily one of the greatest Strategy games of the century, its up there with Dawn of war, Command and conquer, Age of Empires, CIV and Xcom.....Its got good mod support, engaging and intuitive game mechanics and a fairly active community, even after 18 years!I just wish it didn't crash all the time and had working multiplayer (Galactic conquest)

I was looking forward to the game but its just not finished, it feels rushed and looks terrible. will probably be good by the time we get mortal empires and if not modders will solve any problems not already fixed

The main map is small empty/bare, linear and boring (also very low detail)
the chaos realm looks like a lot of time was spent on the art and it looks fine but not only is it tiny but for something that u so rarely see why did they not spend this time on the main map)

oh i almost forgot to mention the biggest problem of all the AI doesn't work; half the factions just die because they dont do anything (dont move their starting army, make new ones, build buildings, ect) the other half run their armys around in circles not actually doing anything (eg clan eshin (snitchs main stack) literally walked to my undefended settlement waited then 2 turns later just left then did the same thing 10 turns later.
the game in general is made extremely easy because of this as the AI doesnt make new stacks very often so with the exception of chaos most factions only really have a single stack

then u have my biggest annoyance, the graphics..... some stuff is in 1080p which is far from good but is acceptable, The problem is that everything else is 720p or lower so it looks like garbage not to mention the extremely high hardware requirements to run such an unappealing display. for a $90AUD ($60 USD) game released in 2022 i would expect something with the the least HD quality
