Lemme start by saying you HAVE to get this game. it's not too expensive and if you dont take this game TOO seriously, dlc isn't needed. get it on sale when it's like $10 because it's really worth it, this has been like the only thing i've been playing for months. Ok, for starters, you can play this game in SO many ways, survivor, killer, what killer, what perks, what addons, so many things. The gameplay is very smooth, kinda buggy, a couple of unbalanced things, but the good games you have make it all worth it. probably my favorite game of all time, and it always having me come back, no matter how hard I try xdd. Letting you know from now, even though there are many new players, this game is not noob friendly, this game will chew you up and spit you out, and you will get discouraged, and you will get overwhelmed from all the custom things, but lemme tell you, stick through, it's worth it. once you have the knowledge and understanding of the game, it becomes one of the best games ever. Oh, and play this game with friends, not only it's easier, but it's more fun!

Edit 1: This review was made months ago when I had about 450 hours. It is now February 16, 2021 and I'm clocking in about 700 hours an I have to change my review right now to do not recommend this game. This game is in an extremely unstable and buggy state despite the devs delaying updates. It is very clear that the devs do not care for our opinions and just want to push out whatever they want to. It is extremely unfair to everyone. Until they get their act together I am changing it to do not recommend. Too buggy, too unstable, too unfair, too uncaring, too stale, and most of all, too unfun

Edit 2: Nemesis go brrr

Ok, so just after completing the entire game and getting 100% on my save file with 490 hours clocked in, I think it's time to make a review to what has to be now my favorite game. I always used to play this game on my 3ds up until about last march when I finally got it on steam and lemme tell you that was the best choice ive made. This game is a Rouge-like dungeon crawler that adds its own take on the genre. You take the role as Isaac and fight countless enemies. This game has so much content no two runs will ever be the same. With tons of enemies, countless items, and dozens of characters there will always be something new. The endings are great, the challenges make you feel accomplished and the game play will always bring you back for more! If you're considering buying this game, be sure to also get the dlc for with every dlc, it doubles the content you are getting, such as more items, ending, bosses, mod support and much more. Isaac has to be my current favorite game as of now, and even after completing all 100% of the game it's always gonna have me keep coming back for one more run!
