Quite possibly the most fun I've had in a sonic installment (From personal experience). A wonderful murder mystery visual novel with clue finding, and an expansive story. certainly recommend playing either alone, or streaming to friends. The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog completley blew my expectations out of the water, especially considering it was released as a free april fool's game. if you enjoy great storytelling, and are a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog I greatly recommend checking this one out

Words cannot describe how much I love this game. It hits all the notes I expected: A good environment that is challenging, but not frustrating, amazing attention to detail, and absolutely terrifying monsters. I recently played Amnesia: rebirth, and was personally very disappointed with it's atmosphere, and storytelling. This game absolutely blew it out of the water, and the fact that it was an indie title that lasted 2-3 hours astounds me. These people deserve any support and praise they can get.

Storytelling
SPOILER WARNING:
The story was a masterpiece. whether I heard about the demonic tales of devils roaming no-man's land, or I read about the tests the British committed to find a way to bring a soldier back to the battlefield, I was disturbed, but also intrigued, and that really kept me going. the ending I personally believe was made to be debatable, and despite the fact that it's usually considered a trope, I thought it fit perfectly

Atmosphere
The atmosphere both amazed, and terrified me, whether it was sloshing through flooded hallways while being chased by a disfigured soldier, or watching a door you were sure protected you from imminent danger slowly open to reveal nothing. From the dark, dirty boiler levels to the luxurious first class level filled with people panicking, I adored every little detail. Even the graphics (while questionable on a few items, like the Webley Revolver) looked fantastic!

Level Design
Okay, you may have read all about how terrible the door system was from some of the other reviews, but I believe it added to the overall panic of the game, and became an integral part of keeping you vigilant of your surroundings, and afraid. Although, some parts could probably use some smoothing ( Like the explosive you place by the door not lighting with a match unless you fumble with it for a few minutes , or your gun firing with the same button you use to interact with items, or the keys being a little difficult to find at times) I still believe the game designers are trying their best, and I'm sure they will fix any problems the players may be suffering from in due time. remember, they are a 2 man team developing an indie title, and only 1 is in charge of bug fixes.

Audio/Music
The Sound design on this game is phenomenal, and the music fits perfectly with the game's atmosphere. while the sound of the fan blades above you will probably cause you to second guess, and make sure it wasn't a footstep you heard in the background. And even the power going out was an amazing touch to tell you "Hey ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, you better start hiding, or a 9 foot Scotsman might just beat you to a pulp"

Globiss Interactive have gone above and beyond with Under: Depths of Fear, and I will most definitely play it again in the near future.

This game has been with me through thick and thin, and honestly. it sounds like the developers are getting much closer to the community. thus, I shall revert my previous review, and state that the game (despite it's steep price tag) is slowly getting better.

But, in the name of humor, I shall keep my story of the polish resistance alive.

"The first game, I played as Germany, and the game went at a snail's pace compared to usual. At this point, I looked up and thought "Huh, my manpower is pretty low. I guess I should raise my conscription laws". Needless to say, It didn’t help in the slightest. I then proceeded on with the game until I cut my losses, and left it out of sheer boredom. The second time, I had a new gameplan in mind. So, I picked Germany, and the game proceeds as usual. Not much to write home about, other than the fact that the UI now looks beautiful. (Which is the only thing I will give the developers, the UI is spectacular, and a wonderful job with the focus tree overhaul). But, as I progress on, I go to war with Italy, and it drags on. And on. And on. I realize that I have lost 2 million men to the italian front. How? ♥♥♥♥ if I know, they must have been putting some pretty strong stuff into mussolini’s pizza pie.

I eventually ran out of manpower, and so, I stopped training my divisions, giving me a nice roomy 700k manpower. For a moment, there was hope. For a moment, I saw the green flares in the distance and knew things would be alright. And then, I look to Poland, and I see a sea of “Factory sabotaged” across the map. My jaw dropped through the floor, and into the depths of hell as suddenly, I went from 700,000 Men to 0. 700,000 𝕸𝕰𝕹. I did some research, The battle of warsaw cost the germans around 50,000 soldiers in total. In less than a day, Germany had lost 14 times the amount of troops than in the entirety of the warsaw uprising.

I guess Warsaw called, and boy did the free nations reply to said call. Needless to say I let the poles go out of sheer anger, and terror.

A few minutes later I said “♥♥♥♥ it” and commenced an experiment. I knew the Italians would take Churchill's words to heart and never surrender, so I saved the game, deleted all my troops, and looked to my newly conquered land in latvia. Imagine my shock as I went from a roomy 700,000 Manpower to 650k, then 600k… I was astounded, and It just continued going down further!"

A good WW1 Simulator in a pinch, although the servers are usually fairly dead, they are normally populated with somewhat competent bots
