I found this game quite refreshing.

I had played and 100% completed the original Battle for Bikini Bottom, Rehydrated, and the Movie Game. I had little hope for this game after seeing what happened with BFBB Rehydrated, but I believed the game was still worth a shot, so I got it.

First impressions were great! The graphics are super clean, and still capture that BFBB vibe. I enjoyed the plot of the game and thought it was a clever twist.

I was expecting lots of glitches and bugs from how games have been now-a-days, but was relieved when continuing into the game with no issues.

Playing the game was super fun and refreshing. I was always looking forward to getting to the next time zone, the next objective, and the next collectible to get.

I am glad to have played this game, and will likely play it again after some time as it does lack in replayability. The music was great, the voice acting sounds good and was funny, and I overall enjoyed it.

I never thought to write a review on here, but since they are deleting p2p trading, I figured it would be a great time to do so.

Epic, words cannot describe how braindead you are. You are the definition of greedy, and you will now fall from your idiotic choices.

From a game that was worth fixing the smurfing issues, server issues, and overall issues within the game and it's systems, to now an absolute hunk of garbage that cannot continue to "live".

You killed your game Epic. Congratulations.

Good job, you killed your own game. Time to move to a VR game that takes it's community seriously. Bye!

Very fun to play alone or with friends. Has various game difficulties for replayability, as well as a "creative" mode that also has a progression line. Very caring creators who listen to the community. 100% recommend for those looking for the survival / upgrade gear progression type games.

A bit late of a review, but if anything this was just to give the game time to update any on-launch issues. The game overall is sloppily put together, to be put simply. There are many downgrades from the original game. A lot of the physics of the game have been changed entirely, making it harder to play. For example, exiting slides makes you instantly stop moving if you aren't holding forward, Sandy's lasso glide cannot be reactivated after letting go of it for even a second, tikis will (sometimes) not fall when the tikis under it are destroyed, controlling the bubble missile is completely different from how it did in the original game, and the camera moves with Spongebob when doing a bubble bowl, in which case some may like, but is disorienting to a veteran player such as myself. The camera controls in general are okay, but I am more used to the horizontal axis being inverted, which is an option you can change easily, however, if you do that, it will also invert the horizontal axis in which the bubble missile is controlled, making it almost impossible to control on top of the vertical axis already being changed compared to the original game. Hit-boxes for robots and objects are somewhat messy, as in it is not always easy to hit them when you believe it should. As an avid player of the original game, I'm used to just being able to pause the game to see my stats, such as Golden Spatula count, Shiny objects, socks, etc. However you now have to press select to see them, which is easier for some, but not for me personally due to muscle memory. Using Sandy's lasso to swing from the Texas shaped hooks has it's pros and cons, It's pros are that if you time letting go of the hook at just the right time, you can fly up a lot higher than you could in the normal game due to the momentum she gains at the bottom of the swing every single time. The range of being able to lasso the hooks is also considerably bigger, making certain parts of Rock Bottom skippable (which is nice in a speedrunner's perspective). The cons of it are that you now have to hold the lasso button for the entire duration in which you want to swing instead of just pressing it and pressing jump when you want to get off, which isn't horrible, but annoying due to muscle memory from the original game, however it does make timing the jump to get the momentum off the grapple a bit easier. The graphic for the underwear pickups are glitchy, as in if you look at them from the right camera angle (under them) they look very confusing while spinning. The barriers for keeping the player inside a level almost feel non-existent. Almost anyone could walk outside the map of Jellyfish Fields without really trying, and on top of that, you can trick the out of bounds to think you are still in bounds by falling out of the map in the right spot (I was only able to do it once and was able to explore the (surprisingly textured amount of) Bikini Bottom). I will give it credit for having nice graphics. The graphics are very nice compared to the quality of the build of the game. Game effects look good, textures (except for certain moving objects such as the bridge you have to extend to reach the first computer in the Mermalair), models (except the bubble bowl which looks messy) and pickup-ables look very good. The overhaul of Dream World was nice, but I personally prefer the original yellow texture of the skybox. There is a feature in Patrick's dream where if you walk into the black abyss far enough, you will loop back around which I'm surprised stayed in the game. Overall, I think the term "Rehydrated" for this game is fairly accurate in the fact that it was a legendary game that had a bottle of water poured onto it which got the dust off but just smudged up everything else that actually mattered. In a literal sense, this game felt extreamly rushed and sloppy, which is really bad considering the original game was rushed and limited for good reasons, this game was just thrown out there as a quick cash grab by people who clearly didn't play the original game at all. I'm sorry but this game is just hot garbage. Thank you for reading my very late review of this game.

This game is a great game but there is a bug i found where everytime you get to a new room you have to wait a minute till you can move. If you try moving before your screen if fully lit from switching rooms you get stuck and can't move for a little bit. I found this to be a big problem because i have gotten killed by this a lot. Please fix this.
