If you're big into indie games, this game is definitely for you. Northern Journey is weird, differernt and incomprehensible at times, but all in good ways! Characters and architecture are morphed to look completely deprived but it all has it's surprising charm, almost ending up with it's own animation style. Environments are great, and each area has it's own landmark to look at and enjoy.

Combat starts as a strenght because of it's interesting crosshair, but turns into a weakness, as the later action bubbles become downright frustrating. After finishing the game with a terrible headache though, I still really recommend this game, just for the music, environments and dialogue alone. It's all very cozy, so it's best not to try and rushing it like i did.

The best turn based RPG to date. And yes, it was released in 2017, because quite frankly, the genre hasn't been doing so well. Luckily, the game is dense enough with content that there is tons of replayability. Combat is fast enough and there is never a need to grind! Story and progression is so beautifully hand crafted, that every fight stays relevant, as long as you play in order (which isn't always possible, since the game is so open with the arenas, that you can cheese 9 out of 10 fights). Synergies with elements are amazing, abilities are relevant for their own reasons and building diversity is extremely fun to plan out! My major issue is just the story. Don't get me wrong, I don't want "more" Divinity 2. I'd rather have a shorter experience than areas that are empty or pointless padding. The problem is how the game dealt with its set up.

It winds up so much in the first acts. It sets up so many mysteries, so many characters, that ultimately the last act can not keep up anymore and fails to be satisfactory. Add that with the time issues while working on act 3 and 4, and you have a half baked finish that leaves you rather saddened.
I love this game, and every time I replay it, I reminisce about what it could have been. Gamemaster mode has some extra landscapes and landmarks that we never see in the campaign, which just tells me that they were scrapped and used here instead, showing a glimpse of what could have been! Multiple desert areas, more forests and an entire blood moon island esque ship!

Heads up though, Baldur's Gate 3 is still cooking. With the massive amount of funding, I'm just hoping they'll take their time!

Here to lay my flowers at the grave stone. "Last 30 Days - Avg. Players 5.0"
Never will I have another great game like this
Never will I have another game fill the void of a team based managment game

One of the best PvE fps games in the current market. There's a lot of charm to the game, even if the graphics itself might seem a little rough, but I implore you to look past that and instead pay attention to the exploration options and organic environments you play in.
The level generation becomes a little predictable? But I generally suggest not playing too much a day to keep the game's shelf life pretty long.

There isn't really any progression unfortunately, only getting to prestige 1 with any class, you get the key to start doing event bosses in random levels. After that, that's basically it, really.

In my opinion the worst part about the game is the variety of the mutators and overclocks.
Overclocks change so little to the guns themselves (unless the few times it doesn't), that you usually ignore them.
Instead, I would make overclocks interesting, by fundamentally changing the weapons! Like for example, have the platform gun no longer shoot platforms you stand on, and instead a bounce-pad or something.
Make the zipline lose a lot of range, and instead have it be a high damage piercing weapon!

Northgard is a RTS with fairly simple game mechanics, yet surprisingly uses what it has to become an interesting back and forth between teams.
Most importantly, do not compare this game to starcraft or company of heroes, just because it has the RTS tag.
Its focus lies heavily on macro and population management, while using military units to pick fights to gain territory, or defend territory.
Domination victories are a last resort (unless you play wolf or dragon), and defending is heavily favored with "militia" being a thing, which are just free and constantly respawning units. Not only that, but some clans even have easily replaced warchiefs and/or mythical units, making runs to town halls impossible.
In other words, just play bear with the guardian path.

If you got pals, play the conquest mode. It's amazing, and has clan specific upgrades while confronting you with fairly unique challenges that force you to switch play styles and focus.

Unfortunately, the game suffers from consistent FPS drops, which can be extremely annoying in micro situations.
Maps are randomly generated, which can rarely screw you over from the start and lose a whole lot of momentum.
AI definitely cheats, there is no way it isn't, I can't even get warchiefs that early with raven.

That's about it really, I definitely enjoyed it, but most importantly you gotta know for yourself.
I personally am really interested in nordic mythology, so there might be bias of course, when it comes to the general artstyle which is... alright? So if you're unsure, just wait for a sale and then test it out!

Devs have found their audience and are now unwilling to change. Newcomers have their experience carried since the game is based on mystery, but after playing some time the cracks start showing.
It's ironic that a submarine game is very shallow in its gameplay, and devs did not make an attempt in the last few updates to make it any more interesting.
Low mission variety, Jobs barely matter, no interesting game mechanics to back up said jobs and there's in general so little to do once your team becomes a well oiled machine.

I once had the opinion that the game was the only one of it's kind to easily be able to switch between a horror game and Gmod, but now I just feel hollow playing it know that there was so little done to make the experience potentially so much more interesting.
It might be because the fun has been optimized to the point where the game isn't challenging, but the laziness in the last few updates just left me sour and I can't look at the game the same way I played it for the first time.

It's gonna be a negative review until there are some serious changes.
I am happy for the people that can still enjoy the game though, check out the workshop at some point, there's a lot of talented and passionate people trying to make the game more interesting.

idk

Presentation is extremely nice, animations are top of the line, really
Skill expression sucks
Job variety sucks
RP options are nice
Don't matter if you don't care
Community is emberassing, do dungeons with friends, do yourself a favour
Customization is either big man with big armor or petit hot woman, nothing in between really besides casual wear I guess
Raid content is really good, it saves the game quite a bit
Getting there takes forever though
Story is nice, I don't mind it, I recommend paying attention past 2.0
Housing is a disaster and holds you hostage to not cancel that sub

Play it if you enjoy doing sidecontent or high-end raiding.
Don't fight with randoms in dungeons, it'll usually get you kicked, just be a bot until you find a competent guild.
Seek out to improve and do raids, it's worth it.

Still no option between "recommend" and "not recommend", but I guess I like it slightly more than I dislike it, so thumbs up from me

Playing this game requires a lot of dedication. Many mechanics are hidden beind trail and error, which becomes pretty frustrating over multiple deaths. Although, mastery is truly something great, and will allow you to finally expirience the rest of the game, which does have a main questline, of course. It's absolutely worth it, as the writing and music really sell this game. I heavily recommend playing a mental ability based mutant first, as their mechanics are the most interesting, while not requiring that much knowledge of items and thier usefulness, as YOU are the weapon for 90% of the playthrough. To balance out not actually needing items, your "Pychic Glimmer" keeps you in check! A great mechanic that represents your power as a really scuffed mage. The higher the Glimmer, the higher your bounty, the bounty being your mind, which is a target for many other espers, that luckily scale with your power though.

It surprisingly isn't a guide heavy game, so I'd recommend not checking out wikis too often and keep your expiriences fresh! Instead, make sure to run around with loads of ego (for easy bartering) and a toolbox, to make sure and identify most items you come across.

Good luck out there, fellas!

Rampage knight looks terrible as a first impression. It literally looks like an ipad game. Although after playing it mainly with a friend throughout a whole month, it is safe to say that the game is pretty good. It is extremely fun to play in co-op for the sole reason of player interaction. In co-op you will hinder eachother more than the enemy will. With some custome modes to unlock and brutal difficulties, the game stays relatively fresh for some time. At some points though the game can get very frustrating but you can always turn down the difficulty if the game proves itself to be too hard.

All in all good game, good mechanics, good coop gameplay, fair pricing,
but lacks in graphics and some certainly unfair game mechanics like EVERYONE HAVING A THROWING KNIFE including, living chairs, vampires, shamans and skeletons.
