Lifetimes and Livelihoods
Heads Will Roll: Reforged, is a turn based combat, dice-rolling, knight role-playing game that has multiple captivating stories, entertaining casts of characters, incredible hidden artwork, lusty romances, and an endearing simplicity that lets it stand out from other games.

The game is easy to understand, easy to master, hard to plan. The story is not randomized, however, there are many possible events you can trigger, each having their own requirements and difficulties. Sometimes you fail, sometimes you succeed, not everything is luck based. There is a science to it, you just need to learn it. That's the cold hard truth. If you can accept that, dust off the mistakes, grab a drink. Start another life, maybe this time, you'll finally reach the livelihood you were aiming for.

PS: Some reviews are saying too not play in the "Heads will roll" difficulty, they are wrong. The game was designed for this difficulty. You're meant to have a profile that gradually improves. You're meant to live through multiple lives. You and your livelihood will get better.

Heads Will Roll: Reforged, The greatest visual novel I have ever played.

An absolutely fantastic game. I played it before the steam release a few years ago and managed to 100% that demo version. Back then, I fell in love with the game. I played it non-stop, up until i could experience the story in its entirety (Or at least what it had at the time). I even played the original version, "Heads will roll". It was also a fun game. I believe it acts as prequel to this game, So, playing that beforehand helped endear me to a few characters in the sequel.

I then forgot about it.
A few years later I was reminded about this game's full version steam release.
I figured, "Hey, if i loved it then, imagine how much I would like it after the full release."

I fell in love with it again.

However, this time felt slightly different. I wasn't seeing this game through the lens of a judging gamer. I came in knowing I would have a good time. All the stress, the learning curves, I had already experienced it before. It was now about learning what was new, what had changed, certainly the art had improvements, and the story was leaps ahead of the demo. The mechanics were the same I had mastered before. Some of my old favorite trinkets and items had been removed, but there were many new items with new abilities that were introduced, therefore, new ways to play the game.

There are still some small bugs, but nothing game breaking. Some options my get glitched if you hold the skip button for too long. So be wary of that. The game runs fine on my laptop and runs even better on a PC. All in all, impressive work.

At time of writing this, I have just completed Ending 10 which so far, has been my favorite. So many interesting stories and ideas brought up. I really loved most of the supernatural encounters and their atmospheres, it really increased the stakes and intrigued me. A focus on them could be a good spin off. Really good for those who enjoy ancient knight stories such as "The green knight" or dives into eldritch horror stories like, Call of Cthulhu.

I do not know if this is the final play through for me. I know of at least one ending that I haven't seen to completion. And the premise of what I know intrigues me. Desert Chapter

What I do know is, Heads Will Roll: Reforged, is a game about Lifetimes and Livelihoods. You have to carve your own pathway to it.

Truth is Dead
Orwell: Ignorance is Strength is an entertaining sequel to Orwell: Keeping an Eye on You.

The game is a sort of digital document diver and information sorter, that forces you to compile information in order to progress the story. Or more accurately, validate it.

The plot is interesting, however, not as exciting as the first game. That however, is my truth. It could very well be different from yours. For perspective, i'm an avid dystopian, horror & mystery fan.

The writing & presentation of evidence allows players to have just enough information to get the gears turning. And whatever outcome you end up with, rest assured, you can always go back using the episode selection to play for other endings.

The game is not completely open-ended, the endings are distinct and where each ending/opportunity begins is not laid out in detailed, so there may be times where you accidentally lock yourself out of one of the endings. If so, just reset, it'll take 10 mins to retrace your steps, max.

In conclusion, Orwell: Ignorance is Strength is a great short story to dive into if you're looking for a dystopian dive into a world, not too different from our own.

PS. Spoilers for Orwell: Ignorance is Strength & Orwell: Keeping an Eye on You: They are connected! They happen in conjunction! I didn't realize because I played these months apart!

Wonderfully Weird, Wonderfully Western, Wonderfully Wholesome.

TLDR: Weird West is a fun top-down rpg, think of Wasteland/Seven: Enhanced Edition. Its genre is Dark Folklore + Wild West. Level progression is upgrading weapon tiers like borderlands (DW there are many ways to get your weapons.) & skill/ability unlocks. Difficulty: Depends on your playstyle. Bugs: I’ve only run into 1 (wasn’t game breaking.) Plot: 5 Individual stories within 1 overall grand story.

ALSO NO! people’s reviews are wrong, your character progression does not completely reset after you unlock a new character. Your skill points remain but your items and unused ability points can also return too. Read spoiler to learn how: (Your previous characters exist in the world, if you find them, you can recruit them to join your posse, all your unused skills points, unused ability points, and keys will return, you can also talk to them to access their/”previously your” equipment) Also whatever you had in your horse’s satchel will remain there when you buy another horse. Additionally, there is a banking system (for items) that can be accessed throughout the entire game, at least 3 Towns have them. (But I cant blame the reviewers, the game doesn't tell you this, iirc.)

The world is wonderfully alive. The developers know what they're doing. Give it a shot.

Review:
Weird West is an enjoyable experience. Its progression is a type of map-based movement, similar to the Wasteland series, with random encounters and main map areas. The map is quite big, lots of varying places to explore if you're willing, but the game's campaign is well paced, so you theoretically would explore 80% of the places anyway even if you don't go out searching.
The genre that Weird West takes is one that is a brilliant mix, Dark Fantasy/Folklore + Wild West. It’s a genuine classic and the game does a really good job at implementing and letting you experience both.

The gameplay Weird West uses is similar to that of Seven: Enhanced Edition by IMGN.Pro Franchise. Semi Topdown shooter, with gun and melee mechanics, as well as unlockable special abilities. The character progression isn't level based like skyrim etc, but as you improve your weapons and skills, sort of like borderlands. The thing is there are only 5 tiers of guns, (normal, copper, silver, gold and legendary.) and it is quite easy to upgrade to the gold tier, and for the legendary tier, as far as I know right now, it's based on luck for gun vendors or story mission placed. (Stealing/Buying a legendary weapon from the gun shop)

This game’s difficulty is decent. My first, as well as current playthrough, is on “Very Hard” mode and I cheesed most maps by stealth and knocking people out. I must warn though, the difficulty immediately goes kaputt by stealthing. Subsequently, the stealth system is very well done. You can throw objects to attract enemy’s attentions. You can scale high mountains to move past guards. With the right build you can stealthily snipe your targets and be amused as you watch the enemy guards run around in confusion
I’ve read some reviews where people say this is the games downfall where the game is no longer challenging/doesn’t incentivize you to explore, but I say no. Getting the overpowered build is what gave me the confidence to stray off the campaign path in the first place! Visiting places that have nothing to do with my current story. Visiting narratives with no fear because of the reassurance that I have the best possible probability of survival (No more save scumming Hazzah). Also, there are people that cannot be 1 shot killed, that’s guaranteed. You will miss your shots, so why not have backup plans? Experiment with those backup plans. Though I will admit, there have been a few drawbacks story-wise. (The haunted house mission for Across River? Whatever spooky vibe there was, became less amplified because once I saw the enemies, I knew they were targets/enemy types I could 1 shot kill. So I wasn’t too scared.)

Tranquility at the end of times.
Oh man x3
Arma 3 Contact, where do I even start. The story? Engrossing. The change in scenario? Captivating. The writing and acting? Impressive. The pricing? Horrid. The lag? Vile. The mechanics? Grim. Arma 3 contact. Countless questions, numerous answers, and various opinions. So many things to discuss- so little time. PS: Screw it. I'll mention aliens, if you've seen the trailer you're gonna know there's aliens anyway.

Firstly, in order to get my message across, I'm willing to say this. Arma 3: Contact is definitively my favorite DLC. And all those problems I mentioned beforehand? I forgot about them. Yes, in around the first 15-20 mins during my 3-5 hour game session I forgot those problems existed, because frankly, I was playing the game. Drops in FPS, Moments when AI can see you through the walls, Getting stuck on objectives that break. Those are regular Arma 3 problems, and I've played Arma 3 for a looong time. If you did as well, you'll probably be able to look past these minor problems and that is because of the great story that the Contact DLC brings. It's truly a story that is different from any other Arma 3 campaign you've played, its got heart...

Additionally, a few points regarding the voice acting and characterization. Some say its better than the original campaign. And I'll have to agree with them. Every character in this campaign is way more memorable than Kerry, Miller, and even Stavrou, the lengths that Arma 3: Contact goes through to connect YOU to the characters are quite noticeable but not in an annoying kind of way. The jokes, the dialogue, and the situations really make you feel a sense of satisfaction for sitting with these bunch of lads and going through what they had to go through. (Really hard to talk about this without spoiling the plot)

And now about the complaints. A new mechanic was introduced, its a sort of Electronic Wave gadget that lets you mess with drones, and communications. (And maybe mess with the aliens a bit nudge x2) Lots of people have stated that this wacky doodle machine has had it's fair share of problems. Honestly speaking, I felt it too, but it was only apparent to me in my last 15 mins? when the device wasn't "necessary." See the quotation marks? I would like to point out that the gadget itself isn't exactly necessary. For the 2nd and 3rd missions I didn't kill a single LDF soldier, mainly cause I felt bad for them and its not like they asked to be invaded by aliens. But back to my main point; You will experience a difference in problems regarding the Electronic Warfare Gadget depending on your play-style. You expose yourself and get spotted/ you use the gadget incorrectly, you'll definitely find yourself having an increase in problems. And that goes for most of Arma 3s bugs too. (TIP dont finish an objective before the objective tab updates. Yes, this is a real problem.) So to reiterate, the gadget is necessary if you want to have as few problems as possible, but is completely ignorable albeit for a few key moments in the game when there's a tutorial going on or when you need to interact with the alien.

Speaking of alien, this was a great way to have at least some interaction with the aliens, Not that many close up scenes, or action moments but you will be able to witness their power and their might. Especially their effect on the environment, which is something truly magnificent. But that being said, if you're a fan of Call of Duty, Battlefield, or even Halo, then I regret to inform you that you will not see your usual epic cutscenes, montages or videos sections. What you will see are grandiose Arma 3 events that are scripted along with the story, basically a moment/event. Its not your usual, oh here's an dose of the action. Imagine if you were walking home from work, and you see a car crash at a distance, and later you tell your friend about this while you're playing war thunder or something. Its sort of those moments, but they fit into the narrative really well and stand out from the chaos... But these kinds of moments do come with some problems. Theres a moment where the alien gets pissed and after you wake up he'll blow up the soldiers around you, if you walk to the soldiers in time, you'll be caught in the explosion and you'll die, kinda funny.

Another aspect I'd like to quickly point out is the length/difficulty, for a campaign that belongs to the official Arma franchise, I have to say it's rather short, maybe a good 4-5 missions if I remember correctly. And like a few others, the 2nd and 3rd mission took me a good few hours to complete. But then again, I did choose to not kill off any LDF soldiers so that's on me. Also i'm no professional gamer, so that's on me too. But all in all, I was able to complete the DLC within 3 gaming sessions. So remember, your play-style and skill will generally determine your play time, apart from redos due to Arma 3 bugs.

My only regret is the pricing, yes I agree, during the DLC's launch it was basically the cost of the base game, for only 1 story and access to a new map and a couple new A.I. models and weapons, but i'm pretty sure Bohemia does this for most of it's DLC. I could be wrong. Sadly, I got this in a package in around 2020, so I can't really determine the exact pricing nor it's gaming value per dollar. But I can guarantee this, I will continue to have fun with it, its been about an year since the release of contact? and There has been a rise in use of arma 3 contact in workshops, I've recently seen it used in an Death Stranding Arma 3 mod, so thats exciting. And with a few mods you can replay the dlc and get some crazy stuff going on. In the final battle, you have Russian Squads, going against LDF soldiers & tanks. Now, imagine having a mod that lets you use Zeus. You call in reinforcements from NATO or even spawn in a couple new aliens. Sure it'll definitely break the game storywise and mess up the scripts, but hey fun is fun.

All in all, the Arma 3 Contact is a breath of fresh air for the Arma 3 Franchise, and I can't wait to see where it takes us.

Early Access Review
Its got a great community. One of the most lively and continuously active groups of players to ever lead the war simulator genre. An advice; If you like Arma, as do I. This game is quite different. It doesn't have as much freedom as Arma and not as much mods, but that is sure to change. What it does have -fantastic simulation, it finds a way to pull you in in such a way that rivals Arma.
