Great game, enjoyed it a lot. Combat is fun with a lot of different builds. These builds also extend out into the overworld and other outside of combat abilities, giving you a pretty good variety of ways to tackle problems. The story isn't incredible, but you get so many choices to choose from with all the different factions to keep you engaged. My biggest gripe with the game was the balance feeling a bit off. The start of the game felt harder than it probably should have and the end of the game felt easier than it should have. That might have been down to my class choices though. Overall strongly recommend!

Watered down version of Wasteland 2.

Only one overworld, smaller maps, less quests, shorter quests, got rid of character portraits for 3D close-ups in dialogue, unnecessary crafting. There's almost no point to exploring the overworld unless you have a quest marker. There are large portions of the map that just go unused, I guess they were reserved for the DLC that came out? I'll never know since those have absolutely god awful reviews.

They got rid of shrines and only have lackluster caches dotted around the map to boot. Levels seem to cap out around ~25 when you could get close to 50 in the second game. You'll finish the last side quest without realizing it and the next thing you know, you're going to the point of no return.

If you have a choice between Wasteland 2 or Wasteland 3, just go with the second game and skip this one until it's on sale.

Absolute Peak. One of the best rpgs i've played in a long time, highly recommend
