I cannot recommend this game enough, I had such a blast playing it.

The controls and overall game mechanics are fun, the only issue I had with the controls was trying to get through the Dark Bramble using a keyboard (As the game is designed for gamepad, so that you can incrementally increase the ship's thrusters, trying to sneak past the anglerfish with a keyboard was near impossible for me until I used the gamepad for that planet specifically)

The characters are fun, and as someone that usually doesnt have the patience to read through lore, I found the lore to be very interesting.

Soundtrack is nice, visuals are nice, story is incredible.

Easily one of my top 5 games.

It's alright.

Its a fun game, gun play is pretty original with smart and charge-up weapons. Story is very interesting but very very short. I had the main story line finished in about 30hrs, while also running quite a few of the side quests. Characters are memorable, bosses are fun. Keanu's voice acting is a little stiff but not horrible, his character is alright, but lines are very repetitive and interactions with Johnny can get very boring very quickly, though he does have his moments.

Weapon drop RNG usually levels with the character to keep things interesting, though I did manage to get a revolver that one-shot almost all enemies and would 3-4 shot cyber-psychos (mini bosses) at around level 15.

Optimisation isn't great. I'm running an i7-7700k w/ 16GB RAM and a 1660Ti on the absolute lowest settings possible, sits at around 75fps in low population areas (inside buildings), but in the city with the crowd density slider at minimum, it can drop to as low as 20fps and is very unstable.

Bugs, well... you've all seen the memes. Hopefully most of these bugs get patched out soonish.

Ambient soundtrack and battle music is very Doom-esque and fun to listen to, but the vehicle radios don't seem to have a set genre, and I found myself switching between channels every other song or disabling the radio entirely.

Ultimately, maybe leave it until a few more patches come out.

This game is possibly one of the best in my Steam library. The plot development and timing was on point and the characters really felt relatable and realistic. The interactibility of the whole game made it much more enjoyable, finding things like QR codes on the fronts and backs of items and just being able to hold and read an item's packaging made it all the more fun. The only downside that this game had was that I crashed a couple of times throughout my playthrough, but other than that I absolutley loved it. Forgive me if my rating is slightly biased due to my love of space and space-based games but I feel like this deserves this.

Don't get me wrong, I love the game... but already the 'pay for the actual game through DLC so that we can get more money' concept is seeping in.

Its like a cutsey space version of terraria, whats not to love?
