Release reaction: damn its fun and pretty. The microtransactions streamline card collection but a player could go free to play with some planning and careful gem usage.

Its a Dragon Quest game. You aren't playing it for deep gameplay, storytelling, or culturally challenging tropes. You play it because the characters are fun and lovable, you like a bit of puns and wordplay, and because its not multiplayer. Its a comfy bowl of chicken noodle soup. Not special, but altogether pleasant and charming and I wouldn't have it any other way.

This deserves more awards than it has

aNyWAys, its a turn based roulette game, dont let the tags deceive you

This is all of the normal supergiant charm but featuring rougelike. Also the gameplay is so fun. Progression after runs is gradual and doesn't feel extremely slow, but definitely slows down as you play more. All the weapons feel different and require you to play the game a different way. If you play a different weapon each run the gameplay will always feel fresh, but specializing with a weapon is fun too. Loving it
