Satisfactory enough to buy twice. Goodbye Epic, it's been fun.

I have played the EGS version since the test weekend (somwhere around 4-500 hours) and it's been nothing but amazing. You really have to give it to Coffee Stain for making such an amazing game that has set the standard for what early access should be.

I've played flash games with more responsiveness than this.
Concept is there, execution lacking.

Perfect example of a well done FIRST PERSON PUZZLER (looking at you, person that plays this game in third person). Puzzles are challenging and it takes certain puzzles to teach you concepts you need to progress, which is always a metric of a good puzzle game. Story was lovely and the extra readings were not forced onto the player which is always a plus.

The scenes in this game are absolutely breathtaking if you have a pc strong enough to run it at max quality.

Very solid free to play zombie survival builder. Dev is pretty active (considering there's only the one of them). Decent modding potential. nice range of maps, weapons and building options.
No pay to win, paid content is purely cosmetic, though some glow in the dark stuff is pretty bright at night which might even make it pay to lose. :P
A couple of negatives to mention:
being free to play, multiplayer is pretty toxic, recommend only doing it with friends (where it is lots of fun).
Vehicle physics is a pretty bad, motorbikes tend to just roll and don't get me started on helicopter shenanigans.

I come back every now and then to see what's new and cool and going from 1.0 to 2.0 to 3.0 to some of the newer modded content like Elver has always hit me with a lovely wave of nostalgia and I've been impressed every time.

Not being able to award this game 'Better with friends' is a crime.

Absolutely gorgeous game, amazing stories, incredibly in-depth lore, some of the best gunplay out there. I would 100% recommend this game... before they went and removed most of it. Yes, the areas removed were seeing little to no gameplay time but that is actually not the players fault. Bungie put themselves into a corner and their solution was to remove content rather than add replayability to those areas.

When I left the game 2 years ago, it wasn't for any particular negative reason, Id done most things and friends were moving on to other games. We decided to pick it up again at the start of this year after missing raids and stuff. I came back expecting more of the same awesome content but I was met with a few things that rubbed me the wrong way.

Their new dlc that had launched while I was away from the game looked incredible, and when I finally got into it, it was incredible, however the rewards I had got from it were pretty much useless save the stuff I used to get me up to a higher tier again. This is because they moved to a seasonal model, where if players weren't fed a new OP exotic every 3 months they get angry. A meta of; new strong gun gets added, new strong gun gets nerfed, repeat, feels horrible for a mostly PvE game. Another thing that had changed for the worse was their masterwork system that became 10x more grind for no other reason it seems other than to get more players hooked.

I wish I could go play this game for its older content or play top tier stuff with old gear but no, Bungie doesn't seem to want that. If you want more info, go read the reviews for their newest DLC, they speak for themselves. For the time being its going to be a not recommend. I probably would have been fine with sunsetting old gear if they didnt remove so much older content. despite it being free and the older dlcs becoming free, none of it is really there anymore for new players to explore. I hope Bungie changes its direction from trying to sap players to making a good game. I really wanted to recommend Destiny 2, but I just can't.

I didn't even realise three had already come out! Covid works in strange ways. Longer than the other two with the same level of puzzles as the other two, which is awesome level. Also this one is ultrawide friendly! big improvement in my books :D Absolutely must play for first person puzzlers, the whole series. Look forward to number 4? maybe? :D Can't wait to find out!
