First I talk about the game, then about the Sony situation.

About the Game:
I have played HD1 for quite some time, so I knew what I could expect for HD2. And oh boy, I am impressed as heck. I give HD2 a 9 out of 10 rating and highly recommend it.
The gameplay is fun, the explosions (all the more on high graphic settings) are impressive, no p2w because you can farm the premium currency on missions, any money and the other stuff that you collect during a mission is shared with the team... The game design is awesome.

Other stuff...?
Now, I am neither a supporter nor a hater about the LGBTQ+ (and all these other) communities, but this is a fictional game. "Super Earth" defines you as either a man or a woman (through voice packs) and you fight for "Liber-Tea". That's all there is to it. There is nothing else that needs to be added. End of the story.
Props to the Devs for denying a rainbow cape to the game. And for muting / kicking / banning people from their discord that were demanding and crying for it over and over again, lmao!

About Sony:
They stated it is no longer required to link a PSN account, however on the steam store page it still says so. Somehow this makes me believe they are going to attempt something again at some point...
They also denied players access to play the game in so so many countries (about half the world at this point) and most of them will not get their money back because they are long over the steam return policy numbers.
Overall: What a joke. Much funny, very wow.

I am a fan of the main Borderlands games, I've played all of them
Despite not feeling Borderlands 3 as much as the other games, I still recommend it

One thing that annoys me is when you use one of the diamond keys, you see some items in the selection that you can only use if you bought the director's cut version. You only get that from the season pass 2 and that again is a bit overpriced for what it contains, in my opinion.
Anyway... I would understand if these items appear when someone is in the lobby (or you alone by yourself) when they / you have that season pass, but I do not and I still have such items appear. So basically it results in "Haha it takes the place of an item you could use but you can't use that one, F you until you buy that season pass".

I give the game a 7.5 / 10

Despite not being a big horror game fan, I like this one.
Takes some time to learn about all the equipment, what photos you can take and how to find the right ghost properly. What is dangerous and what is not. But you will eventually learn it all by experience.
Also, higher difficullty and bigger maps mean more money and xp (even more if you get the right ghost and can escape)!

It gives you what you expect.

Cool stuff: Can be fun, especially with the extra game modes

Not so cool: Now you need an Epic Fail account to play (I bought it on Steam long time ago)

A nice little game. Nice game modes from both official and community.

I read some reviews on some games and on this one I am honestly shocked about the negatives one.
Bunch of whiny ass kids that complain about long waiting times and op abilities on either hunter or scavanger.
Which is not even that true, to be honest. And look at my game time! I am not even in the hundreds and say that!

I tell you, the waitings can range from 1 to 5 minutes. But if you say "but then you play like 30 seconds and then you die", well have you tried NOT running around in the open field? Did you ever find out WHY a hunter finds you easily? No? Thought so. Get your lazy "A to the double S" up and learn how both sides work befor you complain about them.

NOW... AS FOR THE ACTUAL REVIEW...
The game can be fun and frustrating. If you played dead by daylight befor, you know what I mean.
The hunter has tools to help himself to find and kill scavanger. The scavanger have special arrows and try to outsmart the hunter.

I'd suggest you watch a video or two and decide for yourself if it's a game for you or not.
And if not? Well, you can always return it given you are within the requirements or give them a good reason.

Now if you excuse me, I got some blood to collect.

It has potantional to become a good mix between Battlefield and Call of Duty.
Sadly it has a bit of a toxicity already because people complain about either getting spawnkilled by camping enemies on a captured objective or insta-killed by an RPG as infantery.
I played for a few hours now and I can confirm that both of them are possible and it's no fun to be killed by either of them. Giving a 2 seconds protection after spawning or if people can spawn outside of the objective area are good ideas.

Many people complain about fps problems even when having high specs. I have a Ryzen 5-2600 Six-Core cpu, a Gtx 970 graphic card and 16 RAM, and my graphic settings in the game are set on "Ultra" -- I have no fps problems at all.

But this game is still deep in early access. I am looking forward for more update!

I am not sure what to say about this game.
The devs on their discord say they still work on it and even show what is different (for the next update) but as of now, it's... hard to tell.

Some say all servers are offline now and all that stuff, sadly I can't confirm since I have not started the game since last year and I wanted to wait until the update comes out (I guess now I can assume "apparently never") ...

I had that previous game Orion: Prelude, which I had my fun with, and I expected so much more from this game. I even went out of my way to get the ELITE edition on a discount, but now I kinda regret it. And now I can't even refund it anymore. Big sad.

Anyway, yea, base game is worth 1 dollar, so don't put your expectation too high.

Like I promised, I will change my review now....so here it is.

The ranged combat system is still like it is. People were not expecting this kind of combat (when walking into a direction and then start to fire while you press the button to run into said direction, your character will start a "shoot, turn around, run 1 step, turn around again, shoot, and so on...")
This kind of combat pissed some people off, because they wanted a combat style more like a "Hold fire button as long as you'd like without the interruption of you moving while your fire-abilities are on cooldown"...but perhaps I am wrong, what do I know about other people's thoughts...
Trust me, I had difficullties at the start with ranged weapons as well, but it doesn't take long to see "how it works" and find out how you can work with it. If you like it or not is still up to you...
Now, personally I play with ranged weapons only and (I don't wanna praise myself, but) I would say I can fight well with them.

Now, the devs said the server were fixed / more server got added to the game (doesn't affect in any way the players), so I guess you can now finally play the game in co-op with friends or with random people around the globe, hopefully without random lagg-spikes and other stuff (except when a player has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ internet, but the devs can't do much about that...) -> And for that I say: "Yay to the developers!"

However, I still think the price is a bit to high for what the game delivers. I'd suggest to drop the price from 50 bucks to 40 bucks. At least until you add some new stuff into the game. But that's up to the developers. Just giving my 2 cents about it.

Now, if you excuse me... I have heretics and abominations to aim at.

The game is great! I love the "jumpscare grandma" (that's how I call it, shut up!)... If you got her in a place and you don't know if she is "planned" to be there, simply restart the lobby and go there again. (That's what I don't like about the jumpscare-part! I want it to be completly randomized!)

Also, there are 2 combat-bugs I found out, and I don't know if it was some kind of host-lagg or if it's the game.
I will play another round later/some day and either change it completly or write a more detailed review!

First bug: The enemy "Madman" can hit through your blocking with a heavy weapons pretty often, which results in getting hit anyway. (Died like 3 times because of this within 1 hour!)

Second bug: If you actually manage to block his hit, step a few steps back and simply attack while the enemy is not in range but your crosshair stays on him, you deal damage to him anyway. (Realized it as I was checking his health bar.)

Good luck in surviving, you'll need it!
