Played from 2008 to 2010 on Nexon servers, took an 8 year break. Got one character to 100 and called it quits for that time.

Been playing on and off since then, took several breaks, burned some characters, built a sizeable legion and a respectable main, learned a few things.

I did way better than Nexon because they haven't learned a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing in over 17 years. It took a massive no NX buying strike for this company to actually reflect on their choices as a whole a couple of years ago and they're still slipping back into old habits.
Do you know how much money you'll have to sink into your main (and god forbid it isn't on the top of the DPS list) and gear?
Do you know how much time you'll have to sink into learning skills, bossing and complex game mechanics?
Do you know how much support you'll need from potions, scrolls, totems and gear to match even the most seasoned whales as far as game progression and damage output?
Do you know how many other characters (mules) on top of your main you'll need to make and grind out to 140-200 just to have a decent legion bonus?
Do you know how little the moderators and admins actually care about you or your account that was either erroneously banned or hacked into by someone else?
Do you know how little the moderators and admins actually care about you progressing, killing meso farming outside of the reboot server, removing temporary frenzy totems, the Jett class (one that I burned to 200), still charging out the ass for cosmetics, pets (an actual time restricted utility) and setting the drop rate of valuable items to the absolute bare minimum?

Here's the answer: Not enough to be worth it and have a single shred of fun.


Yes, EXP progression has been sliced in half or over three quarters since 2010, but what's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ difference between that and STILL needing at least three EXP buffs in order to not sit and grind for days on end past level 225? What's the point if even chaos bosses don't even give a 5% increase, if you can even put a dent in their hundreds of billions of health on your own. What's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point of even attempting to solo your bosses if you don't have a friend willing to carry you? Being 230/240/250 means absolutely nothing as far as soloing if you haven't dumped hundreds if not thousands into your gear.

By the way, the bosses have a level lock (which is fine) but here's the kicker: Say you're at 220 and the boss has a minimum level of 200. This makes zero difference. The boss' health will be well above your attack range and completely disproportionate to how much damage output you and your class can do. To solo a normal/chaos boss at that level range would require hundreds of millions of damage per second, infinitely beyond any new/casual player's ability. Go look on youtube for solo bossing and you'll see what I'm talking about.

What's the reward?
In game currency? Pfft. Barely. You get a blue stone to sell in a market for a pittance.
Gear? Better be good RNG to get class specific gear.
Exp? HahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHA--
Other drops? Extremely low chance, that is unless someone else in your party picks it up first.
Can't I just do it multiple times a day? Nope. Some are restricted to once a day, others 3, and some you can only do once per week.

Another topic, the amount of in game currency that drops through normal grinding with no gains from gear or other buffs is borderline sickening, especially now because Kanna mule meso farming was nerfed and is non-existent these days. You'll need to dump money elsewhere to have the slimmest chance of being able to fund your main, be it surprise boxes in the cash shop to sell permanent cosmetics, endless, mindless crafting of items to sell for the cheapest for people to want to buy it, dumping into high-star/stat gear and selling it (you'll spend way more than what you get back).

To new players: Don't touch this garbage fire. It will take another, longer and drawn-out starvation of NX purchases for them to meet the player's demands at this current point.

I'm only playing for the completion anxiety, the nostalgia, the addiction, and to finish what I started all of those years ago.

I haven't logged a single minute on WoW, W40k, or any other MMORPG, but I can say that they're probably way more worth the time and effort you put in that Nexon wipe's it's fat, saggy, sallow arse with.

Needs more CQC optimization. 7/10 Overall.

Let us move into new homes, buy better and better equipment (such as internet connection and monitors), add more social networking and more skill trees.
Allow for more customization and tweaks to better suit our experience.

You idiots have no clue what you're talking about when it comes to the Chinese issue. We aren't saying to ban the entire country from the game, you people are dancing around the main point:

Region lock China. They have their servers for a reason just like the rest of the world does. Chinese players do nothing but disrupt and ruin a team-based game with a language barrier, not to mention the ridiculous latency issues they cause. When I go into a game, I want to play with English-speakers who are on my server so I can effectively communicate, even if that can't happen, they're still on the NA servers, so my connection won't be ♥♥♥♥.
When I join up with a full ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ squad of Chinese players, EVERY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ TIME I JOIN SQUADS, there's a problem. I can't speak Chinese, and when I get hits on someone, it cuts to me being in a DBNO state (turns out I didn't hit anyone!).

You people are allowing this infestation to continue ruining the game for others because all you give a ♥♥♥♥ about is money. What good is letting the Chinese have a chance to play if all they did was pirate the game any way?

Oh the wonderful world of CS:GO.

Obviously if you have problems actually running the game, you need a new computer.

On terms of flexibility of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, Valve needs to get their heads in the game.

Aside from the occaisional aimbot, aimlock, and waller, the biggest problem is smurfs.
Smurfs, sandbaggers, "reverse-boosters", whatever you want to call them.

Hey, wanna know what your mandatory, unranked 20 hour filter does after getting 2 wins in a row? Nothing.
As much as you'd enjoy to sit there and jack yourselves off to the idea that it's discouraging people from making sock accounts to get higher ranks, its useless.

Wanna know how to prevent smurfs from ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over legit players just wanting to rank up normally?
IMPLICATE A SKILL-BASED SYSTEM BASED OFF OF K/D AND W/L RATIO.

So hey, you want to play a game where you'll get railed every time you join a comp match by smurfs, then get made fun of because you're any glimmer of silver?
Play CS:GO, and remember to keep your throat relaxed so Valve can keep thrusting it's ♥♥♥♥ in and out with Micro-Transactions.
