I bought this on sale not really expecting anything. It is now my favorite pvp shooter, holy crap. It is SO FUGGIN FUN. People don't feel incredibly strong individually so you have to work as a unit to survive and get things accomplished. When you have people getting on mic and giving speeches about how we need to storm the fort and stick it to the British inside, I knew I am going to sink a LOT of hours into this game. I have not touched the world war 1 mode at all and honestly as of right now have no interest in it so I can't comment on that. It's one of those games where a lot of battles felt very hard fought and you can tell stories about them. Like when I was playing a British line infantry, we held a fortified location against the Russian advance, counter charged into the woods. Got counter, counter charged. Retreated. Held the area again, counter charged AGAIN and this time stole a Russian cannon all the way back to our original location. With about 3 people still alive out of the 30 we charged with. I seriously cannot recommend this game enough, I love it so much. Also VIVE LA FRANCE!!!

One of the best RTS games ever made, taken and improved in just about every way for this version. It's a good game now by modern standards, and child me would have thought this was the best game ever made. As I've grown up I've seen many games change over the years and going back a lot of them aged very poorly and were only good in my memories. This series is not like that. I can still play the original Age of Conquerors expansion and say it was a genuinely fun experience to revisit, and this version managed to make it even better. I only have good things to say about this game and don't want to write a book about it when I can just play it more instead. I am very excited about the future of the series and cannot recommend this game enough for fans of the genre

Too busy having fun with the game to write a full review, but it's SUPER GOOD

I liked this game, despite all the bugs and the dumpster fire it is, I enjoyed it. I played it all the way through to post campaign with one of the builds that actually functions properly. There are MANY bugs in this game that ruin the experience.

bosses falling through the floor
summons dont work properly
there are passive skills that dont work
there are modifiers for active skills that dont work
your progress can be reset at any time
your stash items can vanish
online still doesnt fully function
numerous crashes
bugs that impede story progress (doors not opening when they should)


the way stats and levels scale, you lose your investment by leveling up, look at agility, you wind up losing
attack speed every time you level up, so just to keep the same attack speed bonus you had you have to keep dumping points into it. at that point why not just dump everything into a flat bonus like toughness for hp? The balance because of this is pretty bad

I found that with all these bugs that harm you, there is also a bug with gems to increase their value and get tons of gold. of course after some of my items vanishing, i figured what the heck i can use that to buy more stuff in return.

Then the devs post this "Gold/item dupe: We would like to inform you that we will fix the gold/item dupe issues later this week. Actions will also be taken against accounts who abused these issues or took advantage of it."

THE GAME DOESNT FUNCTION and thats what you choose to focus on???? Are you kidding me?
Everything that is wrong with this game and I abuse a bug to try to get a small amount of enjoyment out of this trash and the result is "actions will be taken". I get that the bug should be patched, but out of everything wrong with this game, fixing that particular bug and "actions will be taken" absolutely should not take priority over a functioning game.

At this point, banning me for abusing a bug in single player would be a favor

After giving this game another chance a while later, it is indeed fun. I would say it is still less fun than the second game though

Fun to play casually

The most difficult yet extremely fun and satisfying racing game I have ever played. Plus it was $12 on humble bundle. 10/10

This game has been around since 1999 and it's still better than most rts' on the market
