No fun anymore.
This game USED to be good, however alot of changed the dev's have made have really hurt the games enjoyment factor.
they nerf any good anti tunnel perk and there match making is so in the bin, you'd have a funner time squeezing water from a rock than most games in solo Q.
they refuse to address any actual things in the game that take the fun out of it and insist that THIS is the way the game must be played or not at at all.
MAYBE if they actually listened to the player base this game could be fun again, but as it stands just before the 7 year anniversary, it's not and I would not recommend this game.

Really Really like this game, the single player is fantastic, played many times across all 3 platforms I have owned it on, but the online is so stupid it hurts.
yeah lets give them flying bikes and homing rocket launches at lvl 0 just cause they have there mum's credit card, takes all the skill and fun out the game.
Can't even do the new content without getting ANOTHER warehouse just to host this one when I have 4 other places I could do it at!
don't get unless you have loads of $$$ cuz then you're nothing to Rockstar.

I loved this game when it first came out and it had so much potential with what it had back then. For some reason it got changed from that to this kinda messy grind which just resets you whenever you go to a new biome. Shame man, damn shame! hope to change this review in the future.

Best game on steam in a long time best played with 3 others, shame they took out the old map and content would have been nice to have both modes as an option

Ark... where do I begin?

First I have played ark from it's early days of release and seeing the game develope they way is has has given me some thoughts on the game and how to rewiew it.

To start off have many hours in this game and plan to have many more I would with out a dought say it IS NOT WORTH the £50 asking price and to then ask for another £15 for basically just dragons is a joke, there is also a free map right now where you can get them there however it is a work in progress map.

I stopped playing while back when the flyers in the game got nerfed but it wasn't a nerf there made then unflyable and useless. I should point out the issues arrose from the PVP side of ark players and I'm a PVE myself, just find it more fun and I want to put more care into my dinos, however instead of nerfing just the PVP server dino's and sort the issue from there they also nerfed the PVE dinos rewining the game for the PVE players, They have made effort to remake it but it's nowhere near good still and still unfun so would reccomend playing with the classic flyers mod or something that would give you the flyers back there power. I use it and it made the game fun again.

Most importantly when looking at this game you should looking to the core machanics of the game, Taming is fun and really can make you work for it mid and late game. The feel of the game is sturdy and has bulk to it, the grinding side of it is difficult to begin with but as the game goes on you feel more rewarded for what you have worked on. The variety of dino's scarred throughout the world is well thought out and are ballanced in there placements.

My issues with ark are that running a server is a b*tch todo and even after setting it up most days for some reason they will put out a tiny update or patch that adds nothing visable to the game. They would be better off waiting and doing a weekly update or twice a week update but it feels like a daily thing and it's really annoying. Other than that it is a very fun game and would recommend it but again not for the price it's at.
