This isn't just a good game, this is a good Resident Evil game, which was an excellent (and unexpected) surprise from Capcom. The plot ties in consistently to the history of the series and provides a solid foundation for the future of RE. The map design is incredible, and the characters are unique enough to keep things interesting. I went in with low expectations as I wasn't the biggest fan of Resident Evil 7, but this absolutely blew it out of the water. Easy 9/10.

I am never the first to get shot at, but this isn't because I'm good at the game. I'm just a slow, pensive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
If you like to be rewarded for being a ♥♥♥♥ (or, in my case, a passive lobotomite), this is it.
Gear up, find a nice tree near NWAF or VMC, and enjoy the time alone as you try to avoid your internal monologue's lures into the abyss. As you spend these generally uncomfortable moments alone with your thoughts, you can twiddle your thumbs, smoke a cigarette, play with yourself, whatever; it really doesn't matter. There will always be some poor ♥♥♥♥♥♥(s) on the way to run a Hail Mary straight through the base.

On a serious note, DayZ has undergone massive transformations since its initial release. Both modded and vanilla servers are always populated, and there is a lot to the land of Chernarus. Take your time and explore a bit.

Overall: 8/10
Iconic game, best with friends. You will get pissed, and you WILL experience the emotional swings of loss at some points. So long as you can learn from your mistakes (or write them down, whatever floats), you will pick up the dynamics and nuances quickly.

I tried playing this once. About 50 minutes in, I lost my penis and began growing female genitalia.

As if things couldn't get worse, the game automatically created a Tumblr account under my name, as well as filling it with things such as SJW movements and feminist ideals. It also pre-determined my presidential vote as Bernie Sanders; I can't vote for any other candidate now.
