Monster Hunter World is great, graphics are astounding, the monsters feel alive, each weapon has it's own moveset and playstyle, progression feels natural, the new mechanics are good and the old ones were also improved. The PC port, from a hardware point of view, is great, but I can't overlook the issues with connection.
MHW is a game you can't simply jump into without doing your research, check some guides for the weapons and crafting and you're good to go. The amount of mechanics and whatnot may drive new players away if they're not willing to actually look for some information beforehand, be aware of that.
One of Monster Hunter's best things, is that there are no levels or class for your character, which means you're never stuck to being the tank, dps or healer, the gameplay is way more complicated than that to be able to separate players purely by class. Choose the weapon that suits your playstyle the best and you're gonna have tons of fun.
Coming from an XBox One account with 100+ hours, it feels refreshing to be able to change the graphic options to suit my machine and still get that sweet 60+ FPS and quick loadings, helping alot through the process of grinding.
Speaking about grinding, don't expect to hunt each monster once, be prepared to go after the same monster several times in order do able to get the complete armor set and/or weapon you want, this is a heavy grind game, but not a dull grind. You are gonna have to pay attention to your hunts otherwise you may end up fainting 3 times and ruining your mission and possibly someone else's mission.
Nowadays with battleroyales coming left and right in the gaming community, it feels good to have a multiplayer game that offers co-op rather than just putting players one against the other.
If you have interest in the Monster Hunter series, this is the best way to start, considering the vast amount players/monsters/weapons/systems you can play on.
Overall, a great game with depth and challenge enough to get you playing 100+ hours just to get to the endgame, after that, it's all about perfecting your builds and so forth. 9/10, graphics, soundtrack, gameplay... the only downsides are the fact the PC players are gonna have to wait to get access to monsters that were added later on the game and the connection issues that may or may not have been patched by the time you're reading this review.

Absolutely brilliant.
Not much to say, you've got a great art, great OST, great mechanics, great characters...
Basically, a hard but rewarding game that will glue you to your chair.
