I did all the tutorials and now I've been sitting 15+ Minutes to get into a game with my friend and we're still waiting into a game... Not ideal to say the least.

This game is a mess. I love co-op puzzles game and went in very excited. The first room took a while for me and my partner to figure out and was somewhat interesting. The second room I'll be honest I have no clue what we were doing but my partner figured it out. The third section was where it all went wrong.

I should mention, the controls were broken for me. W and S were both forward. A and D were both right. I could NOT rebind it to fix it. In the menu it would say S is back and a is left but they went forward/right. Nothing I did would fix the controls to give me a back and left key. Because of this weird error it was near impossible for me to actually navigate the section quickly as you're required to.

I don't think I can recommend the game with how much even trying to play the game frustrated me and my friend with how little sense it started to make after the first room.

The game seems interesting but unless you catch the game during specific times playing on the NA server is near impossible. Even when you do manage to find a lobby to play in you'll only be playing with the same people over and over until one of them decides to stop for the night. Then you'll be waiting in queue at 5/6 players for a while until everyone else also decides to hop off. Maybe once there's more people playing the game it'll be worth it but at the moment I couldn't recommend it because you can't play the game due to the lack of playerbase.

If you like BattleRite or BloodLine Champions back in the day you'll love this game. You draft spells each round and duke it out with the other mages to assert dominance over them!

Looked like there was potential but there was only 1 active server on a weekend and one team is constantly getting spawn camped. If you're not getting spawn camped your own teammates are body blocking exits you're trying to take to secure objectives. I might consider giving the game another shot in a few months if it still exists.

This is a great and challenging game when playing alone. The difficulty scales slowly as you progress and losses don't seem like the game screwed you over. When playing with friends... Expect a lot of silliness. Try not to kill each other too much.

I won't lie to you. The entire game feels like it could have been a DLC to BL2. It's extremely short and many of the equipment feels like they're just renamed versions of equipment from BL2. Even though this may be the case, I enjoyed this game a TON. I've only played as two of the classes in the game and plan on finishing the other two. The gameplay is pretty much the same as BL2. Point at baddies, kill baddies, and get loot. There's a TON of references you can find and enjoy within the game. If you liked BL2 you'll enjoy BL:TPS.

If you're into the rogue-like genre then this is a must get. There's a wide variety of characters and a lot of micro managing so I hope you're somewhat good with strategy games. You juggle three different resources and level up your characters to reach the end. There is a multiplayer aspect of the game that's quite interesting, but there's also major desync issues. I've yet to actually reach the end on single or multiplayer, but at least single player won't kick you for lag issues or make it impossible for you to see what's going on in the game. I suggest you stick to the singleplayer until these problems are solved.

EDIT: I just beat a run after 20 attempts. Losses don't feel like the game is screwing you over; every loss I suffered I knew was my own fault for not paying attention to something. Unlocking characters can be tedious but is simple enough. You have to find them in a run and recruit them. You must then keep them alive for the next 3 floors. Doing so will allow you to pick them at the start of your run.

This game is awesome. It's not hard to get into and I'm pretty sure fans of the original will love it. I unfortunately didn't have the pleasure of playing the original but I'm extremely glad I picked this game up.

10/10 The game is completely different than the original Borderlands. The combat is always exciting and the new badass ranks reward you for doing challenges. I would recommend this for anyone who has friends and is going to play online with them.
