The game is surprising, beautiful and incredibly detailed. Each NPC is unique, every map area/biome is made to fit the playstyle with stunning music that cannot be faulted. Its a challenging game but its rewarding as you get a sense of achievement after completing a challenge or boss, there may be times you want to quit, but you come back to it determined to finished what you started.

When I first started playing Hollow Knight I wasn't entirely sure of how I felt about it, as you're put in the game not getting told what you have to do or where you have to go. But after achieving 105% (as of this review) I understand why it was made this way. And I'm glad it was.

You're free to explore Hollownest as you please, there is a 'guide' for how the story is played-out but you can play the game how you want. If you want to find all the unlockables you can, if you want to kill everything with faster combat, you may. Its great.

There is tons of lore and easter eggs in this game, which I love. The story is amazing with the prefect pace, you gradually learn what you're aiming for and aren't taught anything except the controls. This isn't too common in games and I personally love it.

The price is totally fair, you should get this as the review rating says enough. The developers of this game take pride of this game and did a great job. They're adding a 3rd free 'DLC' to the game and the first 2 were great additions, very fun.
