The defining deck builder roguelike, still good 5 years later even considering the various imitators. It has the wonderful beauty of well built decks solving the game. For someone's opinion of deckbuilders, indies and rogue-likes to be taken seriously, you must have an opinion for this game.

If you like aoe2 and wanna play a bit of aoe1 in the 2 engine, this is for you. Otherwise, you get 1 pretty decent civ, but that's about it.

Honestly one of the best indie games ever made. Simple and good with great "the federation" blue options. Good combat, difficult but possible scenarios and so much interactivity with the ship power systems.

Dense mechanics, will likely stand the test of time.

Chronotrigger with Crosscode-esque artstyle/assets and xenoblade 100 to death enemy management. Plus Persona charge and mind charge. Landmark based xp means little grinding, and also means that encounters are all generally engaging. The power trip comes not from outstatting an enemy, but from invincible feeling CC and charge/mindcharge combos.

A good game. Traditional Monsterhunter/Souls series control scheme. Lotta game content and fun gameplay you that is challenging enough to be significant content.

1. It's classic AOE fun, collect resources, build an army, beat people up
I would say it's between AOE2 and AOE3 trending towards AOE2 and AOM
2. It's by relic so the soundscape is famously fantastic
3. Single player is good enough. The campaigns are so decent content, although age 2, aom's campaigns provide more for your money. If you've experience those and you want more, the Single player in AOE4 is great.
4. MP, this is a new game and has Microsoft game pass player, never been a better time for middling AOE2/3 players to get in there and rack up some ez wins. Just play normally and calmly and you should beat all the newbies out there.

Recommend? Buy this if you want more AOE content and you've already bought and played all the content for your preferred AO game and don't wanna play all of aoe2/aom/aoe3

I love this civ pack because it's a campaign pack. 3 Great campaigns that have the best story of all aoe 2 campaigns, feels like 1 long campaign with poland and lithuania and 1 short bohemian campaign. For the campaigns themselves, this is great content.

Monster hunter goodness. Battlestyles that while finicky, are fun to play like a multi-keyed instrument. A grind/reward loop that feels natural, fulfilling steps towards goals rather than filling up a bar. A great game.

If this is your childhood game, it's the same but better. Better graphics, automatic farm reseeding/fishtrap reseeding, no hd edition lag. What's not to love? The graphics. They may be too intense for some machines, but they can be greatly turned down. Otherwise, main selling points are new civs, gameplay improvements and less mp lag.

Hearts of Iron 4 gives the following experiences
-The excitement of encircling entire armies with unstoppable tanks
-The beauty of crippling an enemy's economy with thousands bombing
-The delight of an enemy breaking upon your entrenched position and suffering thousands of casualties while taking few
-The sweet feeling of swamping the enemy with millions of men while only having a volunteer army

These are the experiences possible.
