amazing game, reminds me a ton of wario land, but has its own unique design style.
I also play this on steam deck, works great on it, id choose this over emulating wario land (atleast until i 100% beat this game)

This game basically leaves off where second life died and split the communities of weirdos and just random people chilling showing off avatars. Weirdo's (such as RPers) are still in the game but they are pushed off to the far reaches of the game to avoid harrassment. plus if you become vocal with them about how its bothering you they'll leave/tell you to block them. This game has alot of potential and I feel proved itself as the goto vr community game allowing for a meme community to co-exist with everything. Meanwhile high fidelty is an overall mess with its sdk being more closely resembling secondlife rather than an actual game SDK (unity), plus, unity is a visual scripting engine and you can get away without coding and making your own player model/player scripts like a working gun. in the secondlife genre of games you'd need to make a whole lua script more akin to gmod which is a pain and a hassle. Even if people are going over the avatar polygon limit or obnoxious effects usually its not crash worthy and if it is, look away and hopefully you saw their nametag to block them through the menu before they go overboard. I honestly don't know if anyones tried hacking me/tried tracking me whenever I made people mad but i've read even though webpanels are patched thats not going to stop theres still exploits. Just use a VPN though until they fix it just incase. VR IN THIS GAME ON ANY HEADSET IS ROCK SOLID! (maybe not the google remote but oculus and vive are great!)

Tl;dr Good game did not die with ugandan knuckles but it has its fair share of problems, it is a indie game afterall they can't just invest a super team to iron out the whole game in 1 update.

Im glad I can change my review now, but trust me im still very upset at the game even though I recommend it, I recommend it because it's in a working state that resembles the original gmod tower in a very, very close manner.

All in all I can say I recommend this game to anyone looking for a experience close to vrchat but with a mixture of other MMO games. Granted this game isn't without it's problems. As it's
early access there are infact quite a lot of bugs and issues in the game that are being ironed out. This game is a perfect blend between structured society and inventories and a complete open world environment game (VRCHAT).
Don't get me wrong, at many points when im playing this I do wish I was playing VRCHAT but at the same time im conflicted because of the item system. This is their golden goose egg that
no other online indie game can do easily. As said though there are some major problems playing for another week has shown to me.

The minigames are all working thankfully and they are in the process of porting the rest of the gmodtower games. They are also ramping up updates to finish the game (more so patching up the game) and they even have a huge team to distribute the work evenly.
The items are great! The furniture can be 100% modified through the steam workshop and blender. I would not say working in blender with this game is as easy as working with VRCHAT (so much more freedom in what you can do and also alot of automated blender scripts for bone assignment which idk why tower unite doesnt have)
Gambling is even better than it was in gmod tower with new gambling mechanics. Ofcourse, it's not perfect, the poker table kicks you out at the end of each round so, your brain would process you folding as you ending the game (doing something wrong). This shouldn't be.
Im really happy with zombie massacre it's so much more refined for such a new game from the gmod version, it's actually a lot of fun to grind in the game by yourself, a great way to switch up gambling and playing minigames.
The achievements will keep you pretty busy for a while because they loaded a lot of mile stones and achievements.
The condos are also pretty awesome, just like gmod tower! Infact now you can buy your own condos layouts. Bonuses of using a engine that allows game boundaries to be spawned on demand.
There's alot of games to play with friends in the game.

One of the biggest downside (which you can say is the pixeltail curse) is html5 is still not supported... It's been quite a few years since elevator:source/cinema/gmod tower debutted however, if you'd believe it, there's still no twitch support. Really annoying. Like really braindead annoying.

Another big downside for me is the fact that there is no VR tracking in the lobby, I get (seeing from the above complaint) the people developing the game are focused on much more pressing issues however, currently it's still being labeled by the devs as "A false future" that will "never catch on" https://steamcommunity.com/app/394690/discussions/0/3216031607490822710/
in other words, they do not want to spend money on vr development kits (fancy way to say they don't want to buy vr), and they don't want to waste their time writing code that is only going to be used on the lobby portion of the game. That's something that can be added later on down the road like in 2-3 years. Ok, wait til 2022 and see how many people will jump boat from VRCHAT to tower unite for VR. /s
Not many, this could be the big diverging path for people on vrchat, by offering them an alternative with a working item inventory.

Finally, I didn't realize this until the night im posting this review and a warning for anyone who's used to the open chat rules of vrchat (atleast not infront of a admin). It's very easy to have a chained chat ban.
That's the best way I can describe it. Basically, if you are talking about something admin's find "NSFW" they will chat ban you without warning. This includes both Global and Local. What could the admin find "NSFW" well lets take a list of the last chain ban in the theater on 7/9/2019.
I was banned for making a joke about googling hentai. Another person in that theater was banned for making a reference to tiananmen square (not even in a joking way) a reference as in comparing and contrasting two things. I didn't know it was illegal to speak
about recorded history. It's like comparing something to the nazi's and getting banned ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin%27s_law ). Another person got banned for asking about the hentai question at first. Another person was banned for laughing.
Is this the way an online environment should be conducted. Admins hiding behind their monitors afraid to do their job warning everyone. This is the equivalent to a security guard at a checkpoint refusing to check people/allow them to pass. It defeats the purpose of the job
not letting the user have a say. What do I mean by this? Why can the user not be told by the admin "You have been warned for innapropriate conduct". *COUGH* Club penguin, a game from 2005 would warn people for cursing before banning them *COUGH* Perhaps maybe have the admin do his job and come on the server and tell us to stop accidentally talking in global chat (even though the person who tiananmen said it in LOCAL CHAT)/stop breaking the rules on this game.
Instead banning the person for a hour, punishing everyone in the theater is the wrong way todo this. By you banning half the theater, the whole theater leaves. Is this what you want? If so continue doing what you're doing because your stomping free speech one ban at a time to the point where no one will use chat because they know you will ban them for literally nothing but words.
Act like it's P.C. culture, I don't care. It's immature on the admin's part for not communicating with the users.

TL;DR
if you are used to vrchat's sparse global admins and are used to not having to filter what you say (even if you have a good heart) on your character I recommend you be very cautious about using the chat and maybe talk to people through
discord or another way. If the admins want to sacrafice freedoms for securities they deserve to not have us in the chat.

I know atleast 27 people IRL who were waiting for steam summer sale to buy gta v.

Do math: (59.99-(59.99*.25))= about 45 dollars per game.

Now multiply by 27 and you get an easy 1215 dollars. Now you get none of that money because of your shady ass taticts.

You should be ashamed in yourself rockstar... Such a great game and you have the audacity to pull a gimic like this. I thought pc games had the definitive edition of GTA... Thought wrong I guess.

This game is more than a sandbox game. It's a simulator of a worker who goes postal. That last statement is actually false. You can choose to go through the whole game WITHOUT going postal. So its more of a game of right or wrong.

Other than that lets start the review.

This game is always being updated so don't worry about that. They usually release a update around a holiday such as halloween 2014. In the halloween 2014 update instead of terrorists there are SPOOKY SCARY SKELETONS THAT COME FROM THE GATES OF HELL (and yes I literally mean they come from the gates of hell). With the steam workshop feature there is a infinite amount of things you can do in postal 2.

So this is classified as a open world, fps, sandbox game. If you were to relate this to garry's mod than you're completly wrong. This game is nothing like garry's mod. If you were to relate it GTA you'd still be wrong and besides GTA is third person anyway :special:. Postal 2 is its own kind of game. It's one of a kind and there will truely be nothing like this for decades to come. Hell, Postal 3 couldn't even compete with Postal 2. I'd say the closest a game got to postal 2 would be goat simulator. It goes on the same principle as postal 2. You can choose to act like a normal goat or go around rampaging the city. See how the two are alike? But, still, the two games are completly different.

Who said you going postal was a bad thing? You can go and destroy terrorist organizations, Protest/deal with protesters, etc. Or you can go on a rampage with cat silencers and bombs and gasoline. That works too.

I would reccomend you to buy this game ASAP. It's worth every penny.

A really good game all in all but there are a few problems.

Pros:
-Really good story
-Fun action
-A difficult game that will make you want to keep trying.
-Graphics have that artsy borderlands style but not as cartoony
-Great voice acting

Cons:
-Not a grade A pc port (very sloppy but this is a old 2k game so i wouldn't complain that much.)
-Pretty short game
-Some game mechanics are annoying (trying to shoot a explosive tank and it doesnt blow up)
-Glitches from the port. There are a few glitches but you can avoid almost 99% of them by keeping vsync ON. (aka game is unstable above 60.)

If the games on sale or something I reccomend buying it. Other than that I'd hold off until it is onsale. It's definetly not worth 29.99. I bought for 5.09 from halloween sale.

Im sorry to say this but this game is hard as ♥♥♥♥. I accidently bought this game while I was high and I tried playing it. It was basically impossible. You know those wave like pattern enemies in the castlevania games? Yea well the smart asses who programmed this obvious have some illness that makes them 5x bigger. Dodging them is a big hassle and worse of all IT STARTS YOU OFF ON THE MAP POINTING RIGHT AT THE LEVEL. So obviously your going todo that one first. Basically what i'm saying is I didn't even get to a boss fight yet because simply the game doesn't want me to get pass it. It's a shame because it has the potential to be a good game but they need to find the things in videogames that make people so pissed off and multiply it by 100. Like I understand that this game is ment to be hard but come on. You don't making impossible to dodge obsticals. Atleast the game is good with lives. BY GIVING YOU 30. TL;DR - If you don't want challenge and aren't expecting the game to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kick you in the ass right at the begining than don't play it.
