Fantastic game. Launch server issues are unfortunate, but is to be expected with any release that gets more traction then they had accounted for. Game has substantially more depth than Diablo 4, but doesnt require you to devote thousands of hours like PoE. Launch weekend woes are the only major issue currently, and devs are constantly communicating and working on the issues

Early Access Review
This game has nearly everything I could want from a zombie game. I am a huge fan of zombie media, being obsessed with it since my early middle school days following the release of Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead movie. This game allows me to play out an endless amount of scenarios in the world of post-apocalyptic, zombie infested Kentucky.

The game has an incredible amount of depth, from the job system, to the food and stress systems, to car mechanics (and literal mechanics as well). Nothing feels better than when you launch a single player game for the first time and die within 5 minutes, and being able to try again and improve until you are surviving for months at a time.

Both single player and multiplayer are incredible fun. There are a lot of tight knit communities out there as well as some serious and semi-serious rp servers that are fun to play on. The modding community for this game is also fantastic, creating everything from QoL mods, to mods that completely overhaul or revamp the gameplay, allowing you to choose how you want to play.

The only con of the game is the time in between updates. This used to be a major pain point a few years ago, but since the launch of Build 41 there has been a significant increase in the speed that major updates are deployed. As of the writing of this review the upcoming features are Animals and a crafting overhaul, with NPCs to be a major feature implemented sometime after that. The devs are very ambitious, however they have not fallen victim to scope creep like many indie devs have in recent years of Early Access titles.

As for the Early Access title, this game could easily release as a finished product today and be able to provide most people 100+ hours of entertainment. Please do not let the Early Access text scare you away from this game.

Very fun game. Takes elements from Terraria, Minecraft, and Stardew Valley and mixes them together very well, on top of launching with co-op. I recommend this to anyone looking to scratch their survival crafting itch with a new game. I think that once this game is in a state that modders can take a crack at it too it may become a household name

Game is fantastic. People having FPS issues most likely did not mess with the options at all before coming and posting a bad review. Turning off motion blur and depth of field will fix most of the fps issues. I have a 3060Ti and in 12 hours I have had 1 singular crash, and very minimum stuttering, only twice that I remember when loading new areas of the open world, on maxed settings at 1080p. Game is fantastic fun and I highly recommend it to everyone who is a soulsborne fan

I love this game but I can not recommend it in its current state. The gameplay itself is solid, although very grindy, and being a solo player would be absolute hell. You are nearly unable to play this game without joining a company (guild). The ship building itself is extremely in depth and very good, and the coding system, while clunky, adds even more to it. The PvP is fun, and going on expeditions and such with company members and friends is very fun.

However, this game has next to nothing in terms of content, and updates are extremely slow. On top of that the devs have done everything in their power to kill PvP that doesnt occur in the "hotspots" they want it to happen in. This includes the upcoming capital ship update basically invalidating any form of piracy and open pvp, something the game was advertised to be based around. Out of the many updates we were promised in the last year, very few of them were delivered, leaving the game in a very content starved state that has basically killed the player base outside of the people who spend 90% of their time in the ship builder.

Once the game is updated with more content and there are changes to the gameplay I will change this to a postivie recommendation. The game has an exceptional amount of potential, and I really hope to see it thrive again like launch

This game both allows the funniest of shenanigans with friends as well as extremely serious moments of combat and communication and tense situation. It is rare to find a game that can handle both sides of the spectrum so well

Having played this game on launch and for awhile after on console, a month ago I would not have recommended this game. However, with the addition of the free Wastelanders expansion Bethesda has remedied many of this game's problems and made it immensely fun to play. The world no longer feels like a barren wasteland, both npcs and players are plentiful around the map, however not so much that it doesnt feel like the Fallout world it is supposed to be. After a bad record of wrongs over the last few years bethesda has swung back into the right direction with Wastelanders and I highly recommend it to anyone who is a Fallout fan or just looking for a new experience with their friends
