Update is great if you're into that sort of thing. While I personally prefer the new infantry combat, I think it's unfair to drop this sort of update onto a game which has been played by so many people for so long. Lots of people bought this game for what it was and then had it changed after buying it.

The update should have been released as a new title such as Squad 2 for example.

I am disappointed that there is no British kit and would like to have seen this as a DLC to compliment the mods rather than replace the mods such as with the inclusion of some pack howitzers or 25 Pounders but for less than the cost of a takeaway it's great.

There are no other games on the planet that come close to the niche that Arma fills so supporting the devs and mod makers is greatly advised.

Bit laggy with Ray Tracing on and whoever made the decision to bind dodge to tab must have been high as a kite when they made that decision. However, as a game it's great and as a Star Wars story it's even better.

The base game Call to Arms is not my thing but Gates of Hell is really good. It's a huge shame it's hidden behind Call to Arms.

Great game. I only played through the main story but there is twice as much content if you play the extra missions too. The super hard bosses all appear to be unfortunately/fortunately (pick which suits you) in the side missions so how you think that will affect your game is up to you.

If these developers were to make a Star Wars game or a Matrix game it would absolutely slap (devs if you're reading this please make a Star Wars or Matrix game).

Great so far. Few issues which will be worked out I'm sure. Do not make the same mistake as I did and mistake this for Regiments. Regiments = bad, WARNO = good.

Thoroughly enjoying the game.

People are expecting perfection from a day 1 release of a project that vastly exceeds the complexity and scale of any shooter of this type made before. You can't take a product which has been built by a set team during a global pandemic and throw it against a wall of 2,000,000 users and expect it to work flawlessly. There are going to be issues; most of those issues minor and temporary.

HOWEVER, the specialist system is unforgivably annoying. Anyone and everyone can pull defibs, a sniper rifle and a rocket out of their arse a second's notice. It's crazy how it was approved in this state. It used to be that you had a ~25% chance of meeting someone with a launcher and then only ~50% of that population had AA. Now anyone can just run up to a supply crate called in by Angel, switch to their AA class and start lobbing missiles. You kill that guy with your helicopter? TOO BAD. All of the teammates around him can revive him.

Summary:

A lot of the negative reviews here are people jumping on the "It's cool to dislike new stuff" fashion trend without actually thinking for themselves or are expecting the impossible. Also a lot of mad coz bad.

The specialist system is frustrating.

If you want a flawless performance experience, buy it in a few months.
