This is the best city builder I've played.

Writing a positive review for Songs of Conquest because of the *potential* it has.

Currently, it's in early access - so it's largely unfinished. I recommend you follow this game and wait for it to release in its completed state. There is not enough content at the moment to justify buying including a lack of unit diversity, spell diversity, and campaigns (even the ones they have are too short).

I foresee this being a great game, in like a year. So hold off on purchasing.

Bad. 409 hrs wasted.

It's a good game and one of the better Civ installments. Civ V may have been one of my favorites for the longest time, including the initial release of Civ VI, but both expansions and numerous updates have made Civ VI a strong contender. The district mechanic is one of my favorite features as it makes city development 10x more interesting than just using the menus/lists and can make or break a game through proper placement.

I enjoyed playing this game. It's not perfect, but it is definitely in the top 25% of games I've played. Story, voice acting, character building, and combat all really enjoyable.

With almost 500 hours on record, this is easily my "Daily Driver" of video games. The UI is easy to learn and can do pretty much anything you'd need to do with a real life board game. The company who makes this game consistently puts out updates and has made a handful of QOL changes since I originally downloaded. I'd recommend this program to anyone who enjoys board games. 10/10.

Multiplayer is broken and shouldn't have been introduced in its current state. Girlfriend and I tried playing but quest rewards and progression only count for one player. So quests that reward a skill-up in the starting zone, only give a skill to one player. Might be a better game for those looking for solo play.
