I love the game, but... I mean come on... AI dumbly cheating on higher campaign difficulties, we're already been through that with some HoMaM games. Why do we have to still pretend to have a fog of war when AI clearly knows what I am doing and what I am stacking even before I come into a vision?

How do I know? Reloading multiple saves of the same scenario. Whenever I have bolstered my ranks before coming out of Fog and into the range enemy Rana have done the same to ensure higher force without officially knowing what I have done, and they had only one turn to do so (switched army stacks). This can be only explained as: Enemy sees my stacks way, way ahead or has complete vision. That's just lazy difficulty scaling and I am frankly quite tired of it.

Having a requirement for your main character to not be able to lose a single battle makes each campaign require save scumming at higher difficulties. Some may not mind, drives me nuts personally.

The game really has to stand on its story, there are 1000000 might and magic clones, and this one didnt try very hard to be unique. Even the units are just straight up the exact same as every other clone.
The factions all feel more or less the same, they have the exact same buildings and all more or less use light infantry, heavy infantry, elite infantry, ranged unit, cavalry/monster unit.
They even share heroes that feel like they belong in another faction (and thats because they start in that faction in the campaign before they defect after a single loss).
And when you have to stand on your story, you cant half ass it.

Im sorry, i REALLY tried to care about the story, but four (4!) missions per faction, most of which are focused on different main characters, with a jumbled seemingly random timeline, is just not enough to even get a grasp on what is going on, especially when one mission of each campaign was dedicated to "omg, the dead are rising" as if we had space for repeating story points in a four mission list.
I think the entirety of one factions campaign takes place between two missions of another faction, the last campaign in the list has two missions take place entirely before the first mission of the first listed campaigns first mission, then the last two seems to take place after all other campaigns. The first campaign has you follow the trail of destruction that You leave during the third campaign, but if you play the first one first, you have no idea whats going on.

This is in no way helped by the fact that Every Single Battle (when your commander walks up to an enemy unit on the world map) in the campaign (yes, even with random skeleton mobs) starts with an unskippable dialogue, and you have no warning which of these are lore relevant (the conversations are different depending on which of your heroes is the one to e.g fight the chapter boss or activate a lore item) and which are just "murloc: MRRRRGGL".

The whack timeline and overabundance of conversations leads to absolute confusion; some enemy bosses, enemies and lore object will say things and you have no clue what that means because you are playing campaign 1 mission 3 and they are referring to things in campaign 3 mission 4, as if you have already played that.
And its not an issue of the campaigns being placed in the wrong order, if i had played them in any other order, the problems would have been the same, the problem is that the timeline is all over the place and chapters of some campaigns take place in between chapters of other campaigns, but there is no way to know this.

And thats just on the timeline.

I tried to summarize the story issues, but then i went back and opened the missions again to get my facts straight and now, on a second playthrough, it makes even less sense, the story is a series of events that all just makes things worse for the faction you play, every single step you take just shakes the ground so more rocks fall on your own head, and not in a nefarious mastermind orchestrating it all behind the scenes kind of way, just in a everyone is a bumbling, stumbling idiot, kind of way.
If everyone involved had just sat still, the world would have been more calm and peaceful

The chapter ending songs are neat and all..... but i JUST PLAYED THAT, I DONT NEED YOU TO SAY WHAT HAPPENED IN THE CHAPTER I JUST PLAYED, IM WELL AWARE WHO ATTACKED WHO AND WHY

The whole game just makes me tired.
I dont want to have to puzzle out a timeline of who did what in what order, it would have taken so much less effort in writing to just make the thing chronological.

Its not worth the money, go play Warcraft 3 if you want a story campaign more or less exactly like this, but competently made, go play any of the 9999 other might and magic clones if you want that gameplay.
