Amazing story driver game. It was heart breaking and I loved it.

Like all the best parts of the mega man zero spin off and mega man put together. It provides a fair challenge but isn't stupid hard like the mega man games. Loved it.

This game makes me a bit sad. I love the idea, but it' so buggy it stopped me from enjoying it, even though I bought it hoping just for a bit of nostalgia, I was so surprised, and excited, when I found out they remade this game. I knew what to expecting, having loved the original arcade game. I wasn't expecting some 8 hour length game. I was expecting a solid game play experience that takes about 40 minutes to beat, and then replaying that game until I had the best route committed to memory because it was a blast. The problem is the game is so buggy I can't even play it well. No light gun, no problem. Freezing on the first loading screen 3 times and then glitching throughout the game, huge problem.

I wasn't hoping for much, and I can tell they put work into this title. But if I can't play it, none of that really matters. I guess somethings are better left in the past.

One of the best side scrolling shooters out there. Seriously, I love this game.

A good game

It took my awhile to get into it but once I did, I loved it. It's creepy and really fun.

Honestly, the setting is amazing and the overall feel of the game is great. After playing it for a few hours though, it's really boring. I love survival horror games and the first Alien movie, so I thought this would be a sure hit for me. It wasn't. If the alien spots me, I'm generally in a wide open space and it closes the distance quick and I'm dead, which makes sense. If I hide, I just have to sit and wait a really long time and hope it's gone away. It feels more like I'm going for a long slow walk where I may bump into an Alien instead of running and hiding in fear. The music is good, but the sound is so dynamic it goes from whisper quiet dialogue to so loud I can't handle it. Sad day.

After so many years, this game still holds up. I was a fan of the original back on the PS1 but never managed to beat it as a kid growing up. This version is better than the remake in every possible way. The game play is classic, the updated controls are great, and the difficulty settings allow you to experience the game how you want. I would recommend playing it on Normal (which is actually the hardest setting you can choose your first time through) to get the full experience. I only wish they had kept all of the terrible dialogue and the original live action intro. :)
