The second game in my 20+ years of gaming that I've taken the effort to complete all challenges and achievements in. I'd say it's pretty good.

It's good. Great combat (similar to Diablo 3), lots of content, higher quality than most MMOs out there, not nearly as many features or limitations that push you to pay to win (compared to things like Black Desert Online). If you get into it and like it, you'll have content to keep you busy as long as you like.

Do you like Stalker? Do you like Fallout? Do you like Escape from Tarkov? Do you like gritty, immersive first person shooter games with survival elements, supernatural themes, engaging combat and a harsh environment? If you answered yes to those questions and you also want to experience any of those things in VR, this is the game for you.

It isn't perfect, it has its quirks, one of which being that it can be tedious to search cabinets and other things for supplies and the body slot storage system could use a good deal of improvement, but even so, it's still a worth while purchase.

If you're looking for a rich narrative, however, this is not the game for you. There is a story and some background lore that seems interesting enough, but it takes a backseat to the gameplay and fairly simple money-making missions (go here, kill these, go here, find this, etc.)

The progression system is simple but seems fun so far, being that you complete missions to earn money to buy guns, ammo, armor and other survival supplies, occasionally being given access to a bigger, more difficult mission that will unlock access to newer, better equipment and supplies.

Do not recommend. They didn't have any bacon or eggs for breakfast.

It's pretty good. Lots of poop, though. Lots of poop.

To quote the YouTuber/Twitch Streamer Albino, this game is "a roguelike for the mentally deranged." I couldn't agree more. Great game, would recommend.

If you like Terraria and want more free Terraria content, get this. There are some very high quality and 100% free mods out there that can provide many many hours of content, like Calamity.

Yes, this game is flawed. Its performance is not what it should be and there are some bugs (which, in my experience, have had very low impact, and I've only had two crashes in my 55 hours). While I was excited for this game I was not all aboard the hype train, so I cannot talk authoritatively on "missing features that were promised." However, some aspects of NPC AI, especially the police spawning in right next to you at times, are certainly disappointing and I am hopeful CDPR will find a solution at some point.

But, what I can say is that if your rig is powerful enough to run this game properly, it's fantastic. Night City is one of the most beautiful environments I've ever seen in a game and it truly feels alive.* The graphics are incredible even on medium settings, the gameplay is fun and engaging especially once you start investing in cyberware (I'm playing a mantis blade/handgun/netrunner hybrid). There are side missions, gigs, "points of interest," and unmarked curiosities enough to keep you engaged for hours outside the main missions. If you enjoyed the Witcher 3, Fallout 3/NV/4, or similar games, I genuinely believe you will enjoy this game as long as you have a moderate tolerance for non-perfect optimization and some bugs. But, let's be honest, if you've played a Bethesda game, the bugs you will encounter in Cyberpunk 2077 are generally tame in comparison.

Is this game the game of the century some people hoped for? Currently, no. But, with a few months of love and care from CDPR, I believe it could become a classic on par with the Witcher 3 or maybe even better.

*Some people hoped for NPCs that had a fully detailed cycle from sunrise to sunset that would display totally unique behavior. With no game development experience and very little programming experience, I can say this is an impossibility for a world the size of Night City, or really anything bigger than a village with more than 10 residents. The NPCs are high in volume with enough variation and unique behaviors that the world feels immersive as you go about it exploring, completing quests and playing the game "as intended," they are perfectly acceptable. If you spend a substantial amount of time doing nothing but observing the NPCs simply to test how "realistic" they are, you will be disappointed.

Not just 2D Minecraft. There are so many weapons and items and armor sets to craft/find/grind for, the world generation just about guarantees there will always be something new and cool in a new world, great boss fights with rewarding loot, and an enormous diversity of building options to make your base or do whatever else you want. The one major flaw of Terraria: there is no true endgame. After you beat the last boss, that's basically it. You can make a new character to play the game again with a different build and/or try to tie up any loose ends you left by crafting the cellphone, Ankh Shield, or any other item, but then you'll be grasping at straws trying to come up with something to do next. Unless you really like building, then you can do that for years.

Even with this flaw, I still give Terraria a 9/10.
