Lots of restrictions as Free to Play... even after all this time. Whats worse is I bought this game originally, just didn't want to keep paying for a subscription fee, a one time purchase should have been enough.

As free to play you will have

-Inventory Space issues
-Credits issues
-Unable to equip Artifacts issues
-Unable to play most races issues
-Many other issues I've forgotten about.

Now the Pro's

-Very interesting stories for most classes.
-Star Wars Kotor, the MMO.
-With friends it can be a blast, even F2P.
-LOTS of content to do and things to enjoy as a F2P.

If you are a fan of Star Wars, want to play a Jedi, Trooper, Bounty Hunter, Imperial Agent, Sith, etc. And are looking for a new MMO to delve into its really good.

Thats whats so frustrating, it could have been GREAT, its just SO greedy. Remove just a few restrictions, and the game becomes 100x better.

May the Force be with you.

This has to be my current favorite co-op PVE FPS. The story and worlds are massive, the gunplay is meaty and solid. The variety of weapons and armors and shaders is quite impressive.

Most of all the game is just FUN.

If you take advantage of all the different types of missions and quests this game has to offer, its going to take you a LONG time to run out of things to do.

I've been playing since this game was released, happy its on Steam now. Come join the fun, at the price of FREE you don't have an excuse if you like PVE fps combat. Even the PVP is good if you choose to battle in The Crucible.

Casual fun little game summoning minions to destroy the enemies tower. Balance minion cost by speed of deployment and build a deck to take out your opponent!

Dead Game, you can't even play anymore because the online only servers are down. What a bummer.

I've only played this game about 4 hours as of the time of this review. I purchased the game for $1.50 on a 90% off sale and at that price, its a steal. No, its not SUPER deep, there is overwatch mode and each character has 4 action points to split between moving and shooting. That said, there are varied Space Marine legions to recruit from. Unique and mastercrafted weapons, and some great banter between your characters, I don't know that I could say full price is worth it, but definitely worth it next time it goes on sale if you want a casual little fun tactical strategy game with progression.

This game is amazing, I picked it up on sale for $20, and its definitely worth that. Reminds me very much of L4D in the Warhammer world with persistent loot... I mean... cmon, what more do you really want? The loot and different character classes allow you to customize how your character plays, and that means its fairly easy to find a niche you fit into.

Its worth the full price, but if you can get this on sale, do yourself a favor and grab a couple copies for you and a friend, and start having yourself a blast. This one really surprised me with just how naturally enjoyable it is, from the first playthrough to the hundredth.

How can this only be rated a 67? Firstly its a great 3rd person co-op shooter, with several different factions for you to oppose. There are several different "frames" that you can play as, which each have a different skill set and play style. EVERYTHING in the game can be unlocked by playing and honestly, most of it doesnt even take that long to get. Special alert missions can gain you additional items as well.

Its a ton of fun, even just jumping into a pub game or even playing solo, and if you have 2 or 3 other friends to play with, its the best F2P co-op game on the market.

Try it, you will like it. I truly believe that.

Im torn by this game... But overall, I really enjoyed it.

On the one hand, I love all things XCOM, ever since the Amiga Days I have been playing this franchise and loving it, in fact, some of my favorite gaming memories have come from XCOM.

That said this is NOT your normal XCOM game. Its an over the shoulder FPS like Gears of War. Gone is the research and base building, you play the part of an XCOM agent, a damn good one, but not the man in charge, just the man in charge of getting things done.

First the good things. The story is quite good, I found myself immersed and wanted to know what would happen next, for me at least, it was a game where I could suddenly have that "oh crap" moment when I realized I had played all night and the sun was coming up. Although you aren't making all the biggest decisions in the game, you do have several "choices" you make during gameplay that can affect the game somewhat, although, to what extent im not sure as I have only played through it once so far.

The characters are all believeable and well done, you can run around the base and talk to several of them, getting little mini quests or more backstory. I found myself doing this quite a bit, I can tend to be a completionist, and beyond that, I was genuinely interested in fleshing out the storyline and the missions you can unlock can help you to recover alien weapons and artifacts that then become available for future missions.

I had some gripes with the game as well, sometimes the controls can seem a little clunky in the heat of combat, it has a slow motion "bullet time" like mode in which you can order your squad mates (max 2 at a time) to get under cover or use their abilities, which actually works quite well, but sometimes in the middle of running for cover its difficult to hit the left shift button or the C button to dive/roll/jump over obstacles. It seems like it was never optimised for mouse and keyboard. Another complaint I had was the levelling, I found my squad mates at max level within the first quarter of the game, which left me feeling like I was wasting a lot of levels, especially considering there seemed to be more room for upgrades (and for some special characters there is) I also was semi-frustrated by the lack of options for some of my soldiers. Want your support/engineer guy to use a rifle? Too bad, he has to use a Shotgun or a SMG. That said, there is a lot of variety in how you can put together your squads, even with only 4 different "agent" types. Support/Commando/Sniper/Engineer.

All in all these are minor gripes, and really didn't lessen my enjoyment, I played the heck out of this game an beat it in about a week. I frequently lamented that I didn't get to use some of the more high profile characters in my agent selection, but found the interactions between them and the main character quite interesting and quite easy to get invested in. I truly feel the story of this game is quite strong and had me more involved than normally in games, although its pretty linear when it comes down to it. You aren't the one designing a strategy and developing the resources to defeat an enemy from beyond our imaginations. Yours is not to wonder why, yours is but to do or die. Thrust into that scenario, I found I really enjoyed the setting and characters populating this game, and most of my enjoyment honestly came from them and the atmosphere you can only get from a 1940's/50's style "War of the Worlds"

Origins was a great game, heard a lot about the other ones not being as awesome, but Origins was a lot like a MUCH graphically nicer Baldurs Gate or NWN. If you like Epic RPG's, try it out!

I've actually had more fun playing this "action oriented" mmo-rpg much more than most MMO's that I have played Recently. I played the Original Guild Wars, Guild Wars 2, and The Old Republic to name a few. The combat is much more enjoyable in this game and for a free to play game, Its quite nice.

Recently I have been trying my hand at the foundry, creating new maps that anyone in the game world can try out. As a result, there is a lot of new and custom content available beyond the main storylines.

Try it out, if you like it, feel free to send me an add request, and if you don't, well, it didn't cost you a penny :)
