One of the greatest comeback stories of our generation, and a creative, well-polished, and fun game. If you like exploration and have an endless fascination for the unknown, No Man's Sky has the capacity to keep you busy for hundreds of hours. A healthy interest in fake space economics will help you out there, as well.

Watch out for the sand worms, though.
They'll kill you.

This franchise has really come a long way since 2008.

Remastering the older games and adding some new content really did a lot to lift them up to the same level of quality that the newer games had set, and the remastering of the newer games still significantly improved the quality of those as well, despite the fact that they already had enough content to satisfy.

And the entire collection climaxes with the new game - Completing the Mission. Completing the Mission is by far the best installation in the entire series, hands down. It has the most content out of all of the games, and it doesn't fall short when following up and expanding upon the events in the previous games. It has a completely different line of gameplay for every different combination of endings achieved in Infiltrating the Airship and Fleeing the Complex, and the amount of content and level of detail in all of them never fails to impress (except for maybe ending TCW, but I'm not going to talk about that one).

There's really not an immense amount of replayability in this game, but if you want to get all of the achievements and find a majority of the secrets, you'll very likely find yourself combing through each game more than once.

All in all, The Henry Stickmin Collection is a fine closing to a decade-long franchise. It's honestly crazy to think that this started as a short flash game that couldn't have taken more than five minutes to complete. This game is a fun, charming, unique gem that, while you probably won't be spending hundreds of hours on, is well worth a purchase and a playthrough or three.

Well, this is a classic, isn't it?

This was quite the experience.

The gameplay was rather fun. This game really did a good job of directing you exactly where to go without actually putting any quest markers anywhere, which is a pretty impressive feat. If you're playing this and you really need some extra help figuring out where to go, though, nowadays you have the internet at your side, so if you're nervous about this whole "no quest markers" thing, then don't be.

The combat was pretty fun, and it wasn't that hard to pick up. So, if you're coming here from the new Fallout games and are nervous about not being able to function well in combat, again, don't worry about it. The way that combat works in this game also means that you can use it to achieve some surprising effects (and pretty much avoid combat whenever you want aside from bosses). Speaking of bosses, as far as I know, all of them are optional. So that's cool, I guess.

The environment and the story were just as good as any other Fallout game out there, if not one of the better ones. It definitely felt darker than the newer games at times; you're not going to see an area resembling the one that The Master resided in in a lot of more modern games, much less Fallout ones.

In terms of flaws, it is obviously a little older than some other games out there, and therefore some aspects of the User Interface and the gameplay are a little... old. There's the graphics, obviously. Some of the movie cutscenes can be kind of hard to look at in my opinion, but even then, a vast majority of them are actually fine. There's also the fact that this game lacks (as so many games of this type tend to) an endgame. Once you beat the game, that's that. You get an explanation of what happens to the California region after the events of the game, you get your denouement, and you're sent back to the title screen with a bit of a pat on the back and the ability to play the game again, but with one less point in intelligence and one more point in perception because it's a TOTALLY DIFFERENT GAMEPLAY EXPERIENCE.

Game's good though. Definitely stands the test of time. Would recommend.

Okay, so the previous review that I had on this thing was negative. However, I've played it for about two months longer, now, and I think that I changed my mind. The lag is becoming less of a problem (though it can be extremely inconvenient at times), and I think that I've come to enjoy it a lot more. It has a large number of mechanics that I find delightful, and all in all, it is a really fun game to play.

Oh, and you need a lot of space.
Seriously.
You need a lot of space.
Like, really.
A LOT OF SPACE.

Game good.

Very good shooter mechanics (far better than any other Fallout game with the potential exception of 76), decent RPG mechanics, a decent storyline, and hundreds of hours of content. All in all, a rather easy recommendation for Fallout fans.

I am going to give a seperate review for each mode of the game.

Multiplayer: This mode is extremely fun, with competetive as well as cooperative gameplay with a variety of modes, and apparently modes within modes. It is extremely fun to play. However, the "deathmatch" mode doesn't work for me. Whenever I select it the game doesn't load past the "connecting" stage. It isn't that big of a deal, however, as all the other modes still work.

Campaign: This gamemode is possibly the center of the game. The good things about it are: The gameplay is extremely fun, fast-paced, and challenging. The secrets are hard to find but very rewarding when you do find them (and very fun to search for). The bosses are easy enough to be fun to fight, and hard enough to not be disappointed. Also, the storytelling is very good. There really is nothing that I have to complain about this.

Snapmap: I don't have any complaints for this mode. None. So, why don't I talk about the good things? For starters, this mode is extremely fun. This is basically a community-powered multiplayer mode, and is fun to see what other people come up with. Also, it is extremely fun to contribute to the snapmap community and be creative with your level designs.

Miscellaneous: The game crashes. A lot. I have had it crash four times during normal gameplay, and it crashes almost every time when trying to load up a mode of the game. (i.e. Campaign, multiplayer) So basically what you have to do is Load up the game in campaign mode, load it up in a different mode, restart your computer, load up the game in campaign mode again, and THEN load it up in the other mode. It is really quite time consuming and annoying. Also, I haven't been a victim of this yet, but I have heard many complaints about the dreaded "Developer mode". If this is as bad as it sounds, I would recommend fixing it. I think it should quite possibly being your first priority when addressing the issues with this game. Also, this didn't affect me that much, but after the second crash during gameplay when I loaded the game back up I got a notification saying that some of my data became corrupted and deleted. The things that got deleted were: My classic maps in the campaign and all of my multiplayer data. It would be disappointing had I not only been level 2 in multiplayer.

In short: This is a great game. Excellent storyline, great graphics, fast-paced, and extremely fun modes. Also, you get to absolutely massacre demons. I don't think I mentioned that yet. Thank you for taking the time to read this extremely long and time consuming review.

I really love this game. However, it is a lot harder to put your community server search results through filters now, so you have to browse through a list of thousands of servers for the specific gamemode and map you want. Also, in Mann vs. Machine in Mann up mode, once my team and I completed the mission, we didn't get to see what our loot was. Instead of returning to the lobby my game crashed. Then I relaunched the game and I can't play casual, competetive or Mann vs. Machine because it says I am "Not currently connected to the TF game coordinator" and to try again in a few minutes. It eventually went back up, but it took a few hours. In general, however, TF2 is a great game with many different play styles, and offers hours of entertainment for all sorts of players. Valve did make a big mistake with the game, but they certainly have done a lot to fix it. Now you have normal queue times, a lot more game sense, and after the fixes, I would have to say that TF2 is better than it was before. The only two problems I have with the game were explained above. That's the only thing. So, yeah, this is an amazing game. And it's free, too. I would recommend that you donwload it RIGHT NOW if you don't have it.

FOR NOMINATIONS 2018:
Team Fortress 2 is the best candidate for the Labor of Love award. Even after all these years, this game is still going strong, and its developers are still devoting as much time and effort to it as they were when it first came out. Even when the going got tough, and even when certain aspects of the game were not to the community's liking (*cough*meatyourmatch*cough*), the developers didn't give in and kept working to create the game that we all know and love today.
