Was an amazing game, but apparently Sony (Phony) (a Chinese company) is requiring you link it with their gaming platform account, which will lock out users from like 50+ countries, and their security is terrible. I can look past them having a kernal level anticheat, and hiring a swede to be the game master, but having one more piece of dookie I gotta login to in order to play a game is where I cross the line (Looking at you, Ubisoft)

I was going to change my review to positive, but Sony FIRED the one dude who wanted to protect them from themselves.
Sony can sit and spin. The review stays.
Arrowhead is a great Dev (This is not a slight against them), but they fired Spitz who was trying to help Helldivers around the world.

Space Station 13 in the sea. Fantastic promise but for me it's poorly optimized. It's possible running a ton of mods is keeping it around 10 FPS but for a voxel like game, it shouldn't be doing that poorly. Never had the issue with Signs of Life. Hopefully they fix it because I enjoy deep sea shenanigans.

This is a truly fantastic and entertaining game. The environment, The difficulty progression, the customization. A great gem of a game to play with friends, with one small, teensy con.
The fact that if some fool , some vindictive buffoon , some MALICIOUS MALEVOLENT MONGOLOID ORDERS SOME DIRTY, KNIFE EARED HAVING LEAF WATER, IT STAYS ON THE BAR UNTIL SOMEONE IS FORCED TO DRINK IT!

Look, I'm a patient man. I like to laugh at jokes.
BUT SOME BARBARIAN KEEPS ORDERING DIRTY ELF LEAF WATER AT THE BAR, AND YOU CAN'T JUST GET RID OF IT , OH NO. THERE'S NO BUTTON TO JETTISON THE LEAF WATER THAT MAKES YOU SOBER INTO SPACE, WITH THUNDEROUS APPLAUSE FROM EVERYONE, BALLOONS AND CHEERS!
NO, YOU'RE FORCED TO DRINK IT SO YOU CAN ORDER A REAL DRINK, WITH BUFFS FOR THE MISSION!

THOSE KNIFE EARED NINNYS POISONED OUR WATER SUPPLY, BURNED OUR CROPS, AND DELIVERED A PLAGUE UNTO OUR MINES! HOW AM I TO MINE PROPERLY, WHEN I'M FORCED TO DRINK NOT ONE, NOT TWO, BUT FOUR MUGS OF THAT HOT ELF SNOT?!

The first time, sure, yeah, honest mistake. Laugh it off, everythings cool. But I keep matching with tree hugging Elf lovers who will order a round of Leaf Lovers Tea just so they can block true Dwarves from drinking their Elixers of Life .

The only thing that would make this game truly perfect , would be a big button next to when they order Leaf Lovers UGH I just threw up in my mouth a bit, I cannot bear to say it.
So that it will jettison the "beverages" out into space, visable from the large window, while ballons rain down with confetti and a complimentary round of Blackout gets poured. (A bonus would be whoever ordered them gets a big hologram arrow over his head that reads "LOVES ELVES" or something along those lines.)

Used to be a great game. Keyword: Used to be.
The developers have somehow found a way to make a once fairly polished game beyond buggy and unplayable, coupled with their inability to properly optimize the file size and graphics, the game is a joke.
Don't get too invested in this game. I put hundreds of hours in gathering, taming and breeding dinos to get the perfect dinos, only for their 'Christmas update' to wipe my entire base off a server, costing me all my dinos. Everything.
All those hours taming, breeding dinos. All the dinos I had attachments to. My two Direwolves my sister helped me get and I raised from wolf pups, Romulus and Remus, and my over 250 Basilio Whailmer; Gone forever.
All because the developers don't give two farts about the game because they've milked it for all they could get so they're focusing on Ark 2 now to milk that cow to death.
My cat Jack of 11 years just passed away in November and now I've lost him on the game too thanks to a bug. It's too much to bear.
If you get it, that's fine, but do not think you're safe on a PvE server, because the bugs wiped out my base there and I lost it all.

Early Access Review
Been playing this game for a while now. A while ago friends and I decided to play the Experimental version for the latest updates. We had a glitch where all the sleeper zombies were replaced by wolves and Dire Wolves. In every house.
Imagine a hospital, filled with wolves and direwolves in the middle of the night, ripping through concrete walls, faster than the fastest zombies.
This created a new level of pants crapping terror I had not experienced before...

Highly recommend if you like Voxel/minecraft like games with zombies.

SHORT REVIEW: Get the game if you've never played it, but love games like SC and AoE. DON'T GET IT if you already own it and are expecting an updated one that works well with Steam.

Love the game I grew up playing (Literally played it for hundreds of hours in long 10 AI matches), but this is literally not improved in any way. Resolution changes don't work, Steam Overlay doesn't work, MULTIPLAYER DOESN'T WORK (which is the worst issue by far). Believe me, it's painful to have it on steam but not have any improvements over the copy I already own on disc.
It may only be $5 ($2.49 on sale), but it's the principle of the matter. They didn't change it so you have to enter the cheats for activating more than 3 A.I. at a time (in the Skirmish screen typing * then the roman numeral for the number of players, i.e. X for 10 A.I.), You have to type in the cheat +shareall to share resources with allies, and you have to STILL create a text document in order to increase the total unit cap from 250 to 500. This is all stuff that would have been amazing to have been fixed for easier access, as lots of new (or even old) players of the game probably don't know about being an option.

It's one of the best games I've played, but it's not much point buying a DRM game when there are alternatives to relive it.
