The 60 fps cap is very unfortunate, but as long as they are going to fix it this is a fun cod-esque romp to relax with.

It's a damn smooth package of a game. Both movement and shooting feel absolutely amazing. The groundwork for the game is outstanding, but it is in a serious need of more PvE content. If the devs manage to deliver on that, this game will be incredibly addictive.

I was lucky enough to have an awesome friend ship one over for free.

As a mainly mouse & keyboard user, this might just be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen or felt. More than half the accuracy of a mouse, but with all the comfort of using a controller.

I believe the controller has a mind of its own, and its haptics have successfully completed their most important task, wiring my brain to release a burst of feel-good hormones each time I feel and hear the smooth buzz of the touchpads.

Replaying older FPS classics like HL2 has been like a completely new experience.

Checking in a week later with 30 more hours clocked in and the game's still great. The market and economy aspect is fascinating. Could use more players though.

Soldat meets World of Tanks. My first impressions are quite positive. There's a lot to take in at first, with countless menus and buttons to navigate through, but it all starts making sense after a while.

The game features a steep progression system that makes your vehicle more and more powerful, but PvP matchmaking seems to only match players against other players of a similar power level. There's no true pay to win here, not in form of real money exclusive equipment, repair costs or "premium" consumable items that plague many games of this genre.

One negative side effect of being a cross-platform release is the heavy auto aim. Your guns automatically target opponents close to your cursor, taking away some of the skill required to track targets.

And damn the game is pretty. The 2D art is just fantastic.

Interesting Korean old school MMORPG with open world PVP and Karma system. This game seems to draw inspiration from both Lineage 2 and World of Warcraft. Unfortunately it comes with some design flaws that ruin the experience.

Pros:

  • (+/-)Slower tab-target combat.

  • Reasonable amount of active abilities, slowly unlocked as random drops from mobs as you level up.

  • Despite being a linear themepark type questing experience, farming mobs for xp seems to be an alternative way of leveling. The quests themself complement this by having high kill requirements for completion instead of making you run endlessly between quest givers after killing five mobs.

  • A Karma system that punishes you for excessively killing innocent players.

    --

    Cons:

  • Health potions have no cooldown. Seriously. You can drag a stack of 300 health potions to a hotbar and keep holding it down if you pull too many mobs, or if a player attacks you. Any kind of skill or level/gear advantage goes into the bin. Open world fights are literally decided by the bigger stack of health potions.

  • While the cash shop is currently disabled, there seems to be all sorts of "VIP" services implemented into the game. These buffs are clearly going to be cash shop items in the future. They grant you increased experience gain, inventory weight limit, max health, max mana, regeneration, attribute bonuses and damage. Anything that directly helps you live longer and deal more damage has no place in a PVP game. I think that the type of player to get into a game like this would tolerate cash shop convenience items like increased bank space, experience boosts, easier traveling, etc.

  • No visible damage numbers or health bars for mobs or other players. You don't feel like you're gaining power at all and combined with the health potion issue it makes PVP feel pointless.

I cannot recommend the game in its current state. Luckily Masangsoft should be able to correct these issues, because the core game has potential for a niche audience.

It's a great streamlined PUBG, but not without its own problems.

Pros:
  • Familiar high damage, high recoil gunplay that rewards you for skilled recoil compensation and headshots.
  • Improved match pacing thanks to the spawn system. You pick your spawn point from a grid before the match, which prevents half of the lobby dying in the first two minutes of a match. Even though there are only 60 players per round, there's significantly less downtime during the midgame. Gliders and snowboards allow you to travel across the map quickly to find more people to shoot at.
  • Clean, slightly more simplistic art style that make for easier target acquisition without completely sacrificing the ability to move around stealthily.
  • Less inventory micromanagement. A hotkey for toggling between two scopes on your gun. Only two grenade types (smoke and explosive) that you don't need to switch between, as left click throws a nade and right click throws a smoke. Picking up a gun automatically equips any compatible attachments from your inventory.
  • Seemingly responsive development team.
  • Fair monetisation. The only thing you can pay for right now is a battle pass and a 2.39€ DLC with some hats and gloves.

    Cons:
  • At the time of writing this review, the graphical options and performance are mediocre. You can only select between three quality presets and three levels of anti-aliasing. I am CPU bottlenecked with a 7700k, dropping from 120 to 70 fps on the lowest settings and 1920x1080 resolution. Users with slightly older mid-range CPUs are reporting significantly worse performance.
  • There is a decent amount of delay in player movement on other players' screens as seen in Battlenonsense's recent video, but this is nothing game breaking.
  • The climbing pack sucks, and the glider is amazing, leaving you with only one mediocre and one top tier option for traversal.
  • Game endings can sometimes be pretty flaccid when people sneak into the helicopter before you can fight them.
