It was fun.
It was a gem.

Until they got successful. There has been a massive influx of new players later and there is nothing wrong with that. The problem is they are all selfish ♥♥♥♥♥ that play a team based game like its a solo adventure. This used to be fun all the time, no matter the team. Its now ♥♥♥♥ unless you are playing with friends.

oh PS. The community is little more than a bunch of woke ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pedophiles now.

Displaying speed, gear, lap times.. at the same time as displaying the race positions is too hard for this game.

This controller was hit or miss. Like many computer builds.. the questions needed to be asked is "what are you playing".

The pads on it are unlike anything ive experienced. they certainly felt great when you used it.

Like all hardware however, its only as good as the software that uses it. Some games have amazing controller maps for this controller... however, the time it takes to find it, make it work, and then hope something else doesnt get all screwy....

If i was a teenager with gobs of time to play games... i would enjoy it more..
but the time i have to play is very limited and always shrinking and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with a controller when there are games i can just click go and play...

its too bad this didnt do better. If they brought it back, i would give it another look for sure.

Easy to learn, tough to master. Unforgiving at times. Rewarding otherwise. Worth the low cost of admission.

Overcook was fun, great local multiplayer. It is easy to learn, and tough to master.

But I'm writing here in hopes the developer knows that they have turned to the dark side..

You know how all the really good things never go on sale.... There is a reason why this game is never on sale.

Frankly, after being burned by a few "Early Access Games", I refused to buy them anymore... This was an worthy exception to the rule for me.

2022 - despite a "completed game" , the devs keep adding more and making sure the mods are working as expected.

EDIT - THERE IS A FIX FOR THE CRASHING BUG.... IT'S NOT HARD TO FIND. IF YOU ARE REALLY STUCK, ADD ME AND I"LL DO THE LEG WORK FOR YOU.

Aside from a launching bug which (causes memory problems??) and can crash your system... this game, to me, is a lot of fun. There are fixes you can dl to repair the bug and it works flawlessly. Frankly I don't understand why fan's can and have patch the game to make it playable, and why the publisher can't just contact the author of the fix, ask for it, (give them some love, ahem, money for fixing their broken game) and then patch it in to the offical steam file.

Anyways, that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aside. As you can see, I've spend a few hours (300 plus... oh my) on this game. It's not complex. It's a fun little blow some steam off after work or great for late at night when you just want to play a fun little game that doesnt require thinking or people.

Right now it's on sale for $2.74 CAN, which prob translates to about $2 US. It lakes achievements, but other than that, whats the problem?

If you like train games, management style games, this is a fun little pick up. If you want gran master strats and AAA graphics... keep looking.

Honesly though, i don't know why this game has mixed reviews... other than the launcher problems, the lack of achivements and multiplayer... is horrible. Oh, and the depth... there aren't alot of levels. Still, thats why you hit RANDOM people...

It's $2... seriously... You spend more to get on the train to take you to work. Just shut up and buy the game.

Despite the age of the game, the graphics are very well done. The facials (insert joke here) are movie like thanks to some special technology they implemented in this game. Being a ROCKSTAR game, many people purchased it thinking it would be a shortened GTA-like game. This is not what it is, although it does feel like it at times.

Despite being classified as open world, there was a linear feel to the game. I truly don't understand the obsession many gamers have with "open world" (perhaps instead of a story, they want an escape from their miserable exsistences), but this linear story suited me just fine.

The game was more like a visual novel or interactive movie, which i enjoyed, but was also the #1 complaint many had about this game during discussions with friends. They craved more action. They wanted a GTA like experience.

I found the game relaxing, THEN INTENSE, then slow, and i can see how many with attention deficit disorder (if you grew up in the 90's) or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (the new excuse for the kids today) can't muster enough attention to read more than 148 characters at a time.

The guides available thru steam are well written, fully detailed, and make difficult parts smoother when you had enough of scratching your head. They would let you get some drawn out achievements with ease provided you invest the time and attention span.

Right now it's 70% off ($5.09 CND), and for that price it's a steal of a deal.

Over all, i'd give this game a 8/10 and at its currently price, I'd stamp it with BigRig's cheap ass game buyer Stamp.
